How long does the sound last on this rainstick?

The duration of the rain trickle sound depends on your technique. If you turn it straight up all the pebbles will fall through the cactus spines within 6-8 seconds. If you tip it at an angle the rain sound will last twice as long. If you tip it at an angle and slowly turn it with your fingers continuously rotating while tipping, the trickle will last more than 25 seconds. This Chilean Cactus Rainstick is made from the copado cactus plant in Chile, South America. It naturally dies in the desert then is harvested and prepared for use as a rainstick. Thank you!

What is the diameter of stick?

The diameter of our 40" cactus rainstick depends on the width of the natural cactus plant, which varies from 2-3", with one end being a little wider than the other. Thanks!

Where do i buy refills? Does it come with water already in it?

Refill what? The musical instrument is filled with tiny beans or seeds and when the rainstick (musical instrument) is upended either way, the seeds fall from one end to the next creating a 'rain' sound. No water needed.
