I have never tried this color before. I wanted a rich, pigmented super dark brown without going black, and I didn’t want it to have that faded dark brown look. This worked amazing for that!! I had an ombre balayage before (dark roots and light ends, see picture) and I missed my dark one-color hair so I took a chance on this and I’m so glad I did. You can see in the after picture that the color is rich and chocolate-y brown in the light. Very richly pigmented and not at all faded looking. Definitely recommend

I’ve been using Garnier hair color for many years, and it has always been my go-to choice. I love the results, the color payoff, and how easy it is to use at home. The only downside is that sometimes I feel a little tingling or slight burning sensation on my scalp during the application. Other than that, I’ve always been happy with this product and keep coming back to it.

This is my favorite product but being an older person and having probably most gray underneath it doesn't last long it's almost like a demi-permanent. But I think that's why I like it because if I start to want a different color it'll wash out eventually and doesn't hold on forever. The smell and the color is pretty when it's applied. Doesn't irritate my skin.

I was nervous to try an at-home dye kit for the first time, but I’m honestly blown away by the results. It was so easy to use, and the color turned out just as good—if not better—than what I usually pay over $200 for at the salon. My hair smells amazing and feels incredibly soft. The only downside was that I accidentally stained my porcelain counter, but that was totally my fault for not being more careful. Just a heads-up for first-timers—protect your surfaces! Overall, I’m really impressed and will definitely use this again.

WORKS AMAZING! I bought two packs for one session of coloring my hair since I have a lot of it. It did the trick! The after conditioner leaves my hair so smooth and it feels like I didn’t even dye it! I wanted to go back to my natural hair color so I bought Sweet Cola for a dark but natural looking black/brown. First picture is before and second is after.

...the darkest brown is as black as the Black Hole, it actually absorbs light. I had to buy clarifying shampoo one hour after I dyed and now I am not planning to leave the house for the next 3 days, by that time a lot of the darkness should have gone away, it's just too black. I was even considering just shaving my head. I left on for 15 minutes. Ladies can get away with that, but not men, jeesh this thing is black. My wife almost chocked laughing when she saw it.

As the other reviews mentioned, this dye does start to fade after the first few washes. I like that it does come out to a true “darkest brown” as the name states but it’s annoying that it lightens only after a couple washes. I used it to cover the blonde streak and all over the brown that my hair was before. It covered the blonde nicely and I didn’t use any red pigment for it either. I wish it stayed that beautiful dark chocolate color like how it was after the first wash, but after the second it faded a bit. The picture with my hair curly is how dark it was right after dyeing it. It didn’t damage my hair at all and did leave it pretty soft, it had a lot in the bottle so I only had to use one pack as well! I’m just happy it’s not black like how some other brands advertise their “dark brown”.

Worked just as expected with box dye. Darkened my hair that had faded over time and left it soft. For people saying it didn’t colour their hair, this is box dye. You can’t expect salon results from 6 dollar drug store product. If you have dark hair don’t expect your hair to take to any of the colours on the box. If your trying to go from dark to light go to a beauty supply store for colour and toner
