I am a 14/16 (33" waist) and the 1X fit like a glove and was comfortable all night. No hemming needed. Never slipped down or pinched. It has tons of stretch and it is thinly lined. The pants has a good weight to it and it is fully opaque and not shiny. Only "con" is the material had a weird smell when I got it, but I just hung it outside to air out and that was it. The scent was completely gone. I turned the pants inside out and steamed the wrinkles out.
