Barakkat Rouge 540 by Maison Alhambra for Women - 3.4 oz EDP Spray

Blind buy. Upon opening this product its a decent quality bottle. I was nervous that it wasn't going to smell as the real BR540 but it's a very close duplicate. Once you spray it at first it gives a very pungent alcohol smell but the dry down is perfect and does smell like the real scent. You have to let it settle on the skin first. I noticed that I sprayed too much because I thought couldn't smell it. But it was over kill.. a little goes a long way which I cannot say for the real br540. So with that this bottle will last plenty more time because you only need 2 or 3 sprays it lingers so it is even good to layer with a softer scent like cocoa butter lotion to give it a more feminine boost. I recieved so many compliments when I layered it with my nivea cocoa butter lotion. Overall, I will recommend if you like to original br540. Get it. It is worth it to spend 30+ instead of 500 on this scent.

The box and the bottle says baccarat rouge but this stuff stinks to high heavens it has turned into mostly alcohol but it has a scent of bug spray mixed with chemicals it is horrid once you spray it on after a shower I can still smell it. Amazon needs to take this seller off of their site there are other very unhappy customers Amazon should not have to keep refunding money because these people are selling old rancid smelling perfume I mean it's almost stomach churning it stinks so bad this company offers no refund they make Amazon pay you back I am so incredibly disappointed never again will I buy from that seller they need to throw the rest of it in the trash can I should have known $19 for baccarat rouge was too good to be true believe me it is avoid this seller and avoid this perfume unless you buy it from a reputable seller and make sure there's a refund policy, they are giving baccarat rouge very black eye by selling this stuff people thinking they're buying something that smells terrific I think I smelled better garbage than this. I rarely leave a review but I had to for this. It can't even be used for bathroom spray since I got my money refunded I'm just going to throw the whole bottle in the trash can buyer beware I'd like to give it zero stars but I have to give it at least one this company is obviously buying up perfume that's been sitting for years and then pawning it off on the public I requested that Amazon take this seller off of their site I hope they follow through

I don’t know what the original perfume smells like so I can’t give a review as to how close or far away from the smell it is. What I can say is how good this stuff smells and how long it lasts. I went to bed with it on, and I woke up and it was just as strong as it was when I went to bed and I only spritzed 2 times.

Update 4 stars/May: I owe this little EDP an apology! It finally macerated! Received two compliments in the last week (unless they’re just glad that at least I don’t stink, LOL). I would purchase again for the same price. A bigger bottle would be really nice since I have to spray a little more than my go-to. Update One star/April: It’s been several weeks, but this fragrance didn’t macerate for me, perhaps is was a subpar batch. Based on this experience, I don’t find this to be a good value/dupe. Original review: So I’m on this personal quest on finding the best BR540 clone/dupe which has turned into a bit of an obsession. I’ve tried Lattafa Ana Abiyedh Rouge which smells nice, but needs longevity/projection—perhaps it has to macerate (I’ve used the entire bottle and never macerated). Then bought this Barakkat Rouge 540 (both the eau de parfum, and also the extrait)—so far, like the other, it needs longevity/projection—perhaps it too needs to macerate. I will update when that happens or if anything changes. If it doesn’t macerate then not worth the price(s)—and these fragrance prices on Amazon do tend to fluctuate. I just bought another fragrance—a totally different brand, Arabic/Dubai EDP and so far, I think it’s the contender.

This perfume is fantastic and long lasting. I sprayed it on my hand when I first received it and fell in love! Long lasting a great buy for the price. Get it!

I was hesitant to purchase this perfume, just because I have never had much luck with dupes. However, this perfume smells AMAZING! It smells like the original BR-547! It did not smell like alcohol the first time I sprayed it at all. Which is was amazed at because i have purchased perfumes in the past that smelt like very strong alcohol, and this one didn’t at all! I will definitely be purchasing this perfume again! My new fav scent! 10/10
