I use this so often, I bought a second freezer
I am something of a vacuum sealer collector, but this is my first chamber sealer. With that said, I can honestly say that it does everything I need it to and more. I plan to gift many of my other, external machines to family and friends now that I have this one. During the initial unpacking of this sealer, I was intimidated by all of the options and the pressure dial. Now that I’ve used it, I feel ridiculous for feeling that way. It’s the simplest thing. It’s just as easy as an external machine, if not easier. It certainly takes less arm strength. For those of you worried that you might struggle to understand how to use this machine, don’t. It’s so simple anyone can learn in about 3 minutes. I live in a small household but love to buy in bulk. I have owned many external vacuum sealers priced anywhere from $50-$300. Most of them work, although obviously some are better than others, but they all have the same flaw, they can’t handle liquids. This means that while attempting to seal pounds of meat, vegetables, cheeses, and soups, I found myself pre-freezing everything to ensure they wouldn’t cause sealing issues. This became such a burden and waste of my time, that I knew it was time for a chamber sealer. I’m so thrilled with my purchase. This machine has already saved me more time than I can imagine. I often use a sous vide cooker and previously was forced to cook my meat unmarinated. No more! This machine allows me to put my meat and marinade together in the same bag and instantly seal it. No freezing, no wasted time. Then I can leave it in the fridge overnight, or simply pop them into the water to cook. This has made for the moistest chicken and fish I’ve ever had in my life. Additionally, the ability to seal hamburger or chicken breasts without having the partially freeze them first has literally doubled the amount of time I have to focus on other things. Now that I can instantly seal anything I want, I bought a second freezer to store all of the items that I didn’t bother to freeze before. Overall, I cannot recommend this machine enough. I love it. It’s got a relatively small footprint, handles liquids like a champ, double seals all of your bags, and the bags themselves are amazingly affordable when bought in bulk. If you’re on the fence about this sealer, just take the plunge. I regret all of the external machines that I’ve bought over the years. This is the real deal.

A huge step up from standard vacuum sealers - If you're on the fence, just get it
Pros: - Solid build quality - Easy to use, intuitive - Incredibly powerful and consistent vacuum - The actual sealer bar works really well, provides a double seal for the edge of your bag, gives me a lot more confidence than the single sealer bar on my old vacuum sealer - Incredibly versatile - Perfect size for a home kitchen Cons: - None really Overall: I've been incredibly happy with this chamber vacuum sealer from Avid Armor. I sat on this purchase for quite a while, doing a bunch of research before hand, and frankly I wish I had bought it sooner. For context, my wife and I regularly purchase meat in bulk from Costco, marinade it and then vacuum seal it to use through the weeks. We'd been using a regular vacuum sealer from food saver for a good few years and it's served us fairly well. that said, we found the level of vacuum we could achieve to be lacking, particularly with any liquids or very liquidy marinades. I finally pulled the trigger on the avid armor after measuring out the standard bag sizes that are compatible with it (6x10, 8x10, 11x10) and finding that matched our use case quite well. In addition, I realized that our textured vacuum seal bags would work with this as well. Vertical space wasn't as big a concern for us since at most we were generally only storing away 250g of pork tenderloin or beef shoulder when doing larger beef chunks. Since getting the Avid armor USV20, we've been using it none stop and it's served us very well. It is bigger and bulkier than the Food saver, but you actually take up less surface area when using it since the bag goes right into the chamber rather than sitting outside of it. This has been great for liquids and our marinades that are wetter , with no issues with getting a proper seal and excellent vacuum. We have way more confidence with the seal that this achieves compared to our food saver and find the overall sealing process just much cleaner, easier and more streamlined. No more needing to manually vacuum before sealing to prevent liquids from getting into the drip tray. For anyone on the fence I say just go for this. If you regularly vacuum pack meats, you will be so happy you got this. Between the USV30 and USV 20, know that this basically has the same pump and power as the USV30 but in a more compact package. For my wife and I, the USV20 made way more sense and I think it would make more sense for most home cooks. I think if the USV20 were any bigger my wife and I would feel like it was a big chore taking this out to use.

Altamente recomendable.

Excellent!
It works great! Very easy to use. And it seals small mason jars inside the chamber (you just have to lie standard size jars on its side if they’re too tall). I was questioning the cost, cuz it felt like a lot of money to pay upfront. And it is… however I no longer need to deal with frostbite, or getting lightheaded using a straw. There was a bit of a learning curve on what setting to use, so my first couple of tries didn't vacuum enough. The only thing I don’t like is that the buttons sometimes don’t respond, so I just turn the machine off for a few seconds. On a side note: the instantaneous puh-shhhh at the very end never gets old. hahaha. TIP: I buy freezer bags from the dollar store, cut the bottom off and then vacuum and reseal from the bottom. I save a ton on bags that way. If you do a lot of meal prep/storage, this machine is definitely worth the investment!
