perfect for needs
This is exactly what I was looking for. I built a custom cabinet for my outdoor kitchen. The door is a hatch, so it isn't able to get blown open by heavy wind. Just to be sure, I wanted an easy to operate latching system This worked great for me.

Nice quality metal latch, good spring action, nice finish. Initially I was not sure about this item as it had a bad review about the material and screws. That review was incorrect. The latch was metal and the screws gave good holding strength for such a little latch.

Roll pin that holds this together fell out
Roll pin fell out after a week of use. Manufacturer used the wrong dimension roll pin. Had to get a new roll pin from hardware store and replace it.
