Is this a better choice if I often park under cover?

Yes, the 5.43 in folded height makes it easier to plan around garages, carports, underground parking, and shopping centre clearance. Always measure the full vehicle height after installation.

What does the mounting rail spacing mean for buyers?

It helps you check whether your rack or crossbar layout can line up with the tent mounting system. Before buying, compare the 29.3 in spacing with your rack width and crossbar positions.

Does San Hima rooftop tents come with anything extra for carrying gear?

Yes. A standout accessory in the San Hima Hothma Gen 2 rooftop tent is the included crossbars. They are rated to 220.5 lbs and can help carry compatible lightweight travel gear.

Will the Hotham Gen 2 feel less cramped than a regular hard shell rooftop tent?

Yes. Compared with a regular hard shell RTT like the San Hima Hotham Lite, the Hotham Gen 2 gives you a more open upper space. It feels easier to sit up, get changed, organise bedding, or relax inside without brushing against the roof.

What does the skyview window add to the experience?

It brings natural light into the tent during the day and gives a more open feeling at night. It also adds a more relaxed, scenic camping experience without needing to leave the comfort of the mattress.
