Love this stuff! Hard to find nowadays but worth it!

Very good but salty

This is great to feed up to 4 of you add some extra rice and maybe something to spruce up the flavors a bit. I don't like spicy,but if you eat this without any additives like andouille sausage, a bit of cayenne, etc it is a bit bland. In my latest endeavor I added some black rice to help me lower glycemic values caused by the white rice, chicken, shrimp, smoked pork, and andoille sausage, cayenne pepper and some premiixed Cajun spice, plus some okra, fresh tomato,onjon, sliced Anaheim pepper,and a small amount of ground venison.

For sure needs meat how ever I suggest cooking it once with meat and take notes for next time because it is a wonderful base for a meal, however it needs work and shines really well with help with spices.

We really enjoy this dish. I add canned chicken and turkey sausage, since we don't eat pork or shellfish. Those canned tomatoes with okra are a nice addition, too. Add what you like; you can't go wrong!
