Adore Semi-Permanent Haircolor #178 Royal Navy 4 Ounce (118ml) (2 Pack)

Just finished dying my husband’s hair with the Royal Navy color. Pretty color. Nice Smell. Easy and effective. He started with black Asian hair. After bleaching him to a level 8 and toning (Wella T14) we had him at an ash blond. Then we used about 3/4 bottle of the blue Adore color on top. He came out with this beautiful deep blue with a hint of purple. I’m curious to see if how fades over the next few washes. Definitely recommend taking the time to tone out all yellow before applying this product. See pics for before and after. Also, this stuff stains the skin instantly! We covered up everything we could but there were still bits of blue around his face and all over. We used vaseline around his hairline and it stained through that… so be super careful and neat! It’s just the color he wanted. From first glance or on a Zoom call, you would just think it’s black hair… but in the sun you get to see that shiny navy midnight blue surprise.

Royal Navy is a *gorgeous* color. My kid wanted that bright, Coraline-blue hair, and man does this stuff deliver! Yes, we did bleach her hair first, and yes, it does fade pretty quickly. But it's cheap enough that reapplying it pretty regularly isn't such an issue. And yes, also, it will stain *every single thing* it touches. Bear that in mind and prep accordingly and maybe have a relaxed attitude about how your shower looks. You should know, when you first squirt that Royal Navy out, it looks like a really pretty deep purple. It looks purple right out of the bottle, it looks purple on your gloves, it looks purple when you first start putting it on the hair. You may be worried. But I promise, it's a real beautiful true blue.

I freakin love this company. So much The blond is the original color I bleached my hair to prior to dying it Orange Blaze I intentionally needed visible blond roots, so I applied Vaseline to my part line to prevent any orange from being absorbed. This used one complete 4oz bottle of dye. Applied to bone dry hair, not damp, as the instructions call for I tossed on a cheapie shower cap (ten for a buck at walmart), and did about two hours worth of other stuff in the 100° Texas heat. Had to stop and wipe dripping dye pretty frequently towards the end. No actual 'apply heat' because, jebus it's a million degrees down here. I love this company. Consistently reliable results, great color coverage, so so so so simple to use, and very gentle on hair. It even smells good Bottom line: Buy it; you'll love it
