Very clean product. I’m just learning how to make tallow balm for my face, this tallow has a rendered beef smell ever so lightly, when I open the container my three dogs race to the kitchen to see what I might be eating. I made a tallow balm with extra virgin olive oil, tallow, vanilla oil, coffee oil and I used four times as much essential oil to mask the smell. It didn’t work. I can still smell the smell, I put the tallow balm on my face, it feels wonderful but I hate the smell. My dogs won’t get out of my face, they smell it too. I’ve read where I can heat up the tallow add salt, then let cool down and/or use baking soda the same way and it will “deodorize” the faint tallow smell. Idk, but I’m buying deodorized tallow for my next tallow balm recipe. I’m giving 5 stars because this is a very clean and pure product. I’m just learning how to put it all together correctly, not this seller/maker’s fault. 🙂

I am a huge fan of the whipped beef tallow trend that is happening right now. I bought a few small jars of the whipped tallow from a vendor when I realized that I could make my own for much less money. I bought a jar of beef tallow here from another seller and it was yellow and had this very strong hamburger smell to it. I used it, but had to add essential oils to it to cover up the smell. So upon searching here for another tallow, I found this one. I really do like it. The hamburger smell is there, but it is VERY faint. It comes in a big plastic container and the color is white. The price is so good. The best thing about it is that after I scooped some out, melted it and whipped it, it is just like the tallow I purchased from another vendor (except mine still has a faint beef smell, but that's okay) and I saved SO much money!! I am very satisfied with my purchase and will be back to purchase more.
