The "feed" on the Hong Dian is a different size from all of my other pens, consequently the purchase of the cartridges to start out. But so far I could see buying in bulk as I love the pen and I think the ink is very good and a great value. Whether I would like it in any of my other pens I couldn't say yet, but I think it's a possibility.
