Do they remove easily without a mess?

They ruined several cabinets in my house. Not an easy product to remove. I think the batches may be variable; some people seem to have an easy time and some people seem to destroy their furniture.

How do you remove them? Will there be surface damage?

Hello. Seller here :)They are removed very easily when applying heat, such as a hair dryer. Apply the heat until until the adhesive softens, then just pull off :). There will be some adhesive residue that you use soap and water to wipe off. The set comes with clear instructions. Give it a go, and we'll walk you through it all. If you accidentally lock part A, how do you open it?

I have locked two of them accidentally. No warning about accidental locking or no easy rollback if it’s locked. Instruction paper 1/4th of A4 size with pictures, which is hard to read and understand how this works.

Locking mechanism doesn’t work

Flawed locking mechanism. You can slide to open it with little to no force

I bought these to stop the cats from opening the sliding doors for the bathroom and laundry that don't have any locks. These work a treat, they haven't fallen off, they are unobtrusive on white paint, they're easy to open and lock, simple and flexible to install. I open and close them multiple times a day over the last six months and haven't had a single fault. For $10 I didn't expect to end up trusting these as much as I do now.

I got these to lock the toilet & stove when my grandson was little. The glue was so strong, that I actually can't get it off the toilet or stove so they work. I also put them on some kitchen cabinets & those came off more easily so it probably depends on the material. Either way, they worked great & I never had to worry about the oven or toilet.
