Not working
The device was stuck on the 'Checking for updates' screen for over an hour and never progressed. I tried resetting, restarting, and even changing the Wi-Fi settings—nothing worked. Total waste of time and money. I ended up returning it, and thankfully Amazon processed the refund the very next day.

beautifully packaged and good resolution baby monitor but overpriced
This baby monitor cam is great if you just want an app based 1080p camera that has some features like cry detection etc but still has a few flaws.I was amazed how nicely packaged it is with each box part clearly labelled and easy to follow instructions from start to finish. You have the main camera which is nice and small and light with a mount for the bottom so you can wall mount it above a crib very well and the picture quality was very good and 1080p quality was clear on a larger screen device like tablet. The zoom however does pixelate a bit like all digital zooms so don't rely on it to see clear images if you zoom in.You have a nice long cable which is great and needed as it’s a powered only camera so not wireless in any way for power and this is also a flaw as the cable uses the old style micro-USB port and connection rather than the newer universal USB-C connections that for the price it really should be.You have 2 boxes of cable trucking to protect the cable running up the wall, but each piece is only 15cm long so while you do have enough you have lots of joins and also it doesn't really stick to the wall very well with the tiny sticky pads.Overall, for £159.00 the camera is good, but its cabled, old connections and now portable screen so compared to others in the market it is very expensive.

Overpriced
Owlet Cam 2 Baby Monitor with Camera and Audio - HD Video - Night Vision - iOS and Android CompatibleThe camera and app are easy and straightforward to install. The set comes with trunking and both UK and EU plugs which is handy. There is no parent unit. The camera has a nice wide angle. The quality of the video is ok but I wouldn't rave about it. The audio is good and clear both ways. The camera cannot be remotely adjusted. I also could not find how to change the temperature reading from fahrenheit to celsius, which is a big negative.Overall, it's an alright baby monitoring camera but for the price (£159 at the the time of writing), I think it's overpriced. It might work well if you buy the whole system with the smart sock, but otherwise, it's nothing special.

Owlet Cam 2 was a complete disappointment.
Owlet Cam 2 was a complete disappointment. It was impossible to pair, even after spending over 30 minutes with product support and following every instruction step-by-step. The process was frustrating, time-consuming, and ultimately unsuccessful. Returned for a refund. Would not recommend.

Compact, well made but expensive. Video stream laggy at nights.
On its own this is an expensive baby monitor. If you buy into the whole ecosystem with the sock it’s probably worth it. As a stand-alone camera for the price it’s really hard to justify what extra it brings for the money. It has a cry sensor, two way microphone, room temperature and humidity readings, all of which exists on my non smart very old monitor. For the price, you do get to use the free mobile app which will have all your data backed up and accessibility over multiple devices so both parents can check on baby at any given time. I do really like is the build quality and size. The unit is compact and angle freely adjustable due to the magnetic base. Comes with cable cover guards for child safety and a very long power cable so it can be mounted up high. I believe this monitor has been primarily designed for positioning above the cot. You can’t adjust the angle of the camera remotely from the app like some other baby monitors. Quality of the streamed video and audio however is good including night vision but have found it lags by several seconds and a bit juddery at night. I’m assuming that’s because the Owlet’s servers are busy at nights, as the feed goes to them before it comes back to the mobile app. You are completely reliant on watching your phone for cry and motion notifications rather than streaming a live feed at all times.

Terrible app with laggy video
Not worth the money. The app regularly disconnects the camera for the wifi and requires you to re-pair with the wifi from scratch - and even then it probably pairs only 5% of the time. When it does work the video feed is quite laggy. The quality of app/video you get with Ring or Blink cameras far exceeds Owlets and for a fraction of the price.

App is a little buggy
This is nice and compact and is easily mounted over the babies crib. Setting it up on the app is easy enough, I’m using an Apple phone. The picture is clear enough but don’t expect to be blown away. The picture at night is clear enough and the cry detection works well. Sound is nice and clear both ways and the volume can be adjusted. The app while it works is OK but has been a bit buggy and takes far to long to connect. There’s other baby monitors out there that are a lot better, but the drawback with those is that you have to carry another monitor around.Overall I love the idea of just using your phone as a monitor but it’s just a little to laggy and unresponsive sometimes for me to rely on on a daily basis.
