This 5% Lidocaine cream works on ANY part of your body -- it is not just for hemorrhoids! My husband gets sharp pains and aches in his hands, arms, lower legs, and feet, mostly from aging. If he rubs in this cream right after the pain starts, it makes the pain stop in 10-12 minutes. If he lets the pain get too bad, it will dull it a bit but isn't effective at making it disappear completely without several applications. You should be aware that the ingredients in the 5.5 oz jar are DIFFERENT than the ingredients in the 6.0 oz jar. Unfortunately this webpage shows the same ingredients for both sizes and that's INCORRECT. The 5.5oz cream seems less greasy than the 6oz cream and rubs in a bit faster with less residual stickiness, so that's the size I order now. That said, both are 5% lidocaine and work equally well to alleviate general aches and pains. Both are quite thick but spread very well -- just a little goes a long way. While not quite unscented, neither is perfumed. (The only thing I can compare it to is a very mild white school glue sort of scent. But it's VERY mild -- you practically have to stick your nose into the jar to smell it.) For all practical purposes once it's on your skin it is unscented. BOTTOM LINE: It's great for localized pain relief ANYWHERE on your body. It works INSTANTLY to stop the itch of bug bites or minor burns, too! I buy the 5.5oz size at least once a month. It's the best topical product we've tried to relieve my husband's aging related aches and pains and seems to be a reasonable value for the price.

Love the numbing effect of this stuff . Can really open that spot to the max with no issues. If there is anything to complain about it would only be that i wished it worked a little quicker . But that is being nit picky. There’s other things i can be doing while it’s working it’s magic. If you put some on & wait 15 to 20 mins. then rub what is left the rest of the way into the skin the apply some more and wait about another 10 to 15 mins. and it’s ready for anything and everything . Used for phobia of needles. Applied a small nickel sized amount to inside of elbow area and rubbed in. Then applied a thick quarter sized blob and left that to sit on top. Covered that with Tegaderm bandage to sit for 1hr before blood draw. Plebotomist helped remove the Tegaderm. I looked away and didn't even notice they put in the needle. Paired great with anxiety medicine for great experience.

I purchased this to use for a tattoo on the inside of my wrist and it didn't take away all of the feeling but definitely helped with the pain! It didn't have a strong smell and was easy to apply. I put it on and then wrapped it up with Saran wrap for an hour before my appointment. Definitely worth the money

I never imagined I'd be writing a hemorrhoid cream review while my face recovers from looking like a tiny pin cushion, but life comes at you fast. I grabbed the WELMATE 5% Lidocaine Cream for Hemorrhoids – Maximum Strength because it promised serious numbing power. I slathered a generous layer all over my face like expensive moisturizer and let it sit for 30-45 minutes. I looked like a shiny glazed donut the whole time, but worth it — my face went pretty damn numb, very little feeling, yay! Afterward, I cleaned it off with alcohol wipes (hello, hospital-pharmacy scent) and went straight in with the microneedling pen. Instead of the usual "why is my face being attacked by angry bees" sensation, it felt like gentle little taps, kind of. I powered through the session like a champ though. Skin is looking better already, and the low pain part is a total game-changer. The only weird part is seeing a hemorrhoid cream tube chilling in my skincare lineup every morning. Would I do it again? Absolutely. WELMATE, you made a product strong enough to handle both ends of the body. Respect.

I use this for my microneedling sessions at homes it numbs really well. I’ll order this again when I need more. Great lasting numbness.

I purchased this item because the reviews said that others have used this as a tattoo numbing cream since its main ingredient is 5% lidocaine. Users reported that it worked well for that purpose. I found that it did not numb my skin at all. I felt a tingling sensation followed by a burning sensation then shortly after that I broke out in a rash. The rash was not ideal for getting a tattoo. Once the rash appeared I washed it off and followed up with the equate brand of 4% lidocaine. Which worked better, helped cool the inflamed rash that I developed from this product. However the numbing experience for the equate product was minimal at best. So it is possible that my body doesn’t respond to lidocaine. It was worth mentioning the rash though. The photos I uploaded were about 5 minutes after I applied the product, it got significantly worse as it was on 15-30 mins.

Works great for bug bites and numbs the skin very well, last a long time. A little runny in texture, no scent at all. Use sparingly a little goes a long way.
