These are expensive, especially if you need a lot of them, but so far they have worked to keep them away, and I’m able to mount them vertically or at a slight negative incline with some silicone adhesive, and the gel doesn’t leak or spill out. While several boxes can add up to a lot of money, it is worth it in the long run to protect the roof and stop paying for repairs. These do not seem to deter pigeons. They will land next to them and step around them, but they don’t like to roost there, so if I space them on ledges about 6 inches apart, that tends to keep them away too, but that is a lot of discs to buy. I’ve been battling the bird’s under my awning for 6 years now. I installed Bird B Gone disks as recommended. It appears that they are working. It’s still early in the season but they are no longer nesting and or spending the nights under my awning.
