This works amazingly well as a color-depositing conditioner, but it's not going to just "dye" your hair. It is temporary and washes out. You can re-apply to get the color back. I expect that, but if you're expecting it to stay, it really won't. The Espresso Brown color is very pretty, a nice, not-too-dark dark brown, pretty much neutral (no red tones in it). It can stain things like cloth, and may stain skin if you don't wash it off quickly. I use it in the shower and do my hair first, then everything else, and by the time I'm done, my hands are unstained again. Some residual color may come off on towels, so I use the same towel every time I use this (one I don't care about). Great for a boost to faded brown haircolor.

I really like this conditioner. I got it to extend the life of my purple hair. It was fantastic. It conditions beautifully and doesn't make a mess although I do wear gloves when I apply it. The color is beautiful. It's a true lilac with a sort of silver shimmer to it. Really lovely and perfectly enhances my fading purple. My only problem is that the bottle is so small. I have shoulder length hair and it lasts less than 2 washes. The color doesn't last that long so I have to use it weekly. That's just not enough product for $13. If the bottle were bigger, this would definitely be the product for me. It's simply too expensive.

I have dirty blond hair but at some parts it looks kind of brown, but at the most blond parts of my hair this product dyed my hair orange. It also stained my hands orange for a couple days and stained my shower a little bit because I missed a spot when cleaning it off. It smelled a little weird in my opinion, but that could just be me. However, on the darker parts of my hair it did make it darker and it looks decent besides the orange parts.

Been using this consistently for the last week and have noticed no difference to my hair. My hair is light blonde, leaning towards honey blonde -- I was looking for something that would take it to a more ashy light grey or silvery tone. Unfortunately, this has been a waste of money on that aspect. It does work decent as a conditioning mask and leaves your hair feeling very soft but that was not my main motivation for purchasing this product.

I use this product in between hair appointments for cost and scheduling reasons. My first concern was how well it works as a conditioner, color aside. And I was so surprised! You can tell in these photos how shiny and healthy my hair is. This formula does not dry out my hair at all and it is so soft. Second, I was concerned about uneven application. This is a little bit of an issue for me. I have very thin, naturally blonde hair, so I am hesitant to heavily condition toward the scalp. So far it hasn't increased how oily my hair looks, but I do have some pieces that I can never get covered with the conditioner. It also stained my scalp and forehead if I am uncareful. It will also stain your hands for a day or so (usually less). Overall, it appears this product is working well at depositing color and conditioning my hair. I would recommend gloves if you are concerned about staining your hands or nails, and would avoid placing it where it could stain your head! It may be best for coloring the bottim half of your hair. This has saved me so much money by stretching the time between my hair appts. It is also a great price point. Side note, I will also stain tubs and sinks. Rinse it off immediately and you should be good!
