Has your chocolate tested safe for heavy metals?

Yes, an independent third party has tested our cacao beans and finished chocolate for lead and cadmium, and has tested SAFE. Our chocolate is ~ 70% below the California MADL as referenced in the 2022 Consumer Reports Study.

Where is your cacao sourced?

We source our cacao beans from cooperatives in West Africa that employ organic, regenerative, and fair trade farming practices. We work directly with the farms to ensure the highest standards.

Is your chocolate allergen-free?

Our chocolate is naturally free of dairy, wheat, and soy, but is made in a facility that handles those allergens. The equipment is cleaned between production runs, but there may be trace amounts in our chocolate bars.

How should I store my chocolate?

Store your chocolate in a cool, dry place such as a kitchen pantry between 40-75F.

How do you ship chocolate in hot temperatures to ensure it doesn't melt?

During the summer months, we ship with ice and insulation to beat the heat. In the winter, Amazon ships our chocolate without insulation. If ever your chocolate arrives melted, please send us a photo and we'll replace your order.

Tasted all 10 flavors/Pure Dark has only 3 ingredients, lovely date sweetened dark chocolate

lovely dark chocolate with the just the right amount of sweetening. just 3 ingredients and no white sugar which is a good thing!of course everyone's palate is different but here's my take on all 10 flavors:Pure Dark-delicious & just what it says with 3 simple ingredients.Coffee-delicious with a nice coffee flavor.MangoChili-mango is sparse & chili is light. a tad sweeter than other bars.MulberryFennel-you have to love Fennel (anise) & the mulberries add a nice sweetness.MintLeaf-dark chocolate & mint, very nice.BloodOrange-just like the dark choc covered orange pieces from my youth. Good flavor.LavenderRose-boring fruit & lavender plus has bee pollen.MixedBerry-fruit dry & boring. very little fruit flavor.PecanDate-too few pecans & the salt doesn't seem to belong.Bergamot-floral, almost too much. Lavender & Bergamot oil.Probably best to stick with the simpler ingredient: Pure Dark, Coffee, Mint, Orange & Fennel flavors, if you love fennel.

Delicious!

As a cancer survivor I am trying to reduce my intake of refined sugar. Yet, I refuse to give up the joy that chocolate brings. I am very glad to have found Spring and Mulberry. It is delicious, smooth, rich, and satisfying. It is also dairy free which is excellent since I have a milk allergy.

Delicious

Simply delicious. I have purchased many products that had dates. This is clearly the best one I have had. Will definitely purchase again.

Taste

Taste and texture are underwhelming. Lack of motivation to take a 2nd bite. Will not buy again.

I wanted to love this chocolate...

3 stars for a healthier chocolate bar - date sweetened is great. But texture was chalky/grainy and the bar was really hard to break. I like The Conscious Bar better - it is very smooth and tastes incredible.
