Smart and efficient
I've been using the Roborock Saros 10R to clean my multilevel house for a week now and I love it. The app has many settings which are easy to use, the vacuum and mopping are efficient and fairly quiet, the removable tray makes maintenance really easy. I'm very satisfied with this purchase!

Smart, powerful, and low maintenance
I’ve been using this Roborock Saros 10R every single day for the past 3 months, I can confidently say It has been a quality-of-life upgrade for me. I live in an area where sandstorms are frequent, so fine sand dust on the floor is common. I also have a dog, so I wanted something that could handle dog hair and paw prints effectively. The biggest difference between the Saros 10 and the 10R is the mopping system. Since the spinning mop is known to have stronger scrubbing performance, I decided to go with the 10R. First of all, I love the design and color. It looks sleek and high-end, not bulky or outdated. I do not feel the need to hide it in a corner. It actually looks good sitting out in the open. I used one of the very early robot vacuums years ago. Back then, I basically had to prep the house before the robot could clean. I had to move things out of the way and constantly keep an eye on the robot to rescue it whenever it got stuck. With this one, I do not have to do anything. It avoids shoes, toys and even charging cables effortlessly. At the same time, it still cleans carefully around those objects. It turns on its own light when cleaning dark areas like under the couch. Such a smart little thing. The corner mopping is impressive, and when needed, it extends its side mop to clean edges more thoroughly. It is actually kind of cute to watch. The automatic dust emptying, mop washing, and drying all work seamlessly. I barely have to do anything. When there is something I need to take care of, the app notifies me clearly, like refilling the clean water tank, emptying the dirty water tank, or occasionally wiping the sensors. After about two months of use, I checked the dust bag and it was fairly full but still had room left. I do recommend emptying the dirty water tank daily. If you leave it sitting, it will smell terrible. Trust me. What I love most is that my home always stays clean. While it is cleaning, I can rest or focus on other things. My time and energy matter. I also feel free from constant dog hair. Occasionally, it leaves behind a small compressed clump of hair after cleaning, but it is tightly packed and easy to pick up, so it is not a big deal. The brush is truly anti-tangle. I check it occasionally, and there is almost no hair wrapped around it. Noise level is also reasonable. I live with a very noise-sensitive dog, so I was worried at first, but my dog adjusted quickly and now does not seem bothered at all. This is the slimmest robot vacuum out there, and that was one of the reasons I chose it. The slim profile fits under most of my furniture. I also enjoy seeing the clean, straight lines it leaves on the carpet after each run. I am not very tech-savvy, but the app is intuitive and easy to use. For reference, my home is about 1700sqft. Only the bedrooms are carpeted, and the rest is hard flooring. When running a full vacuum and mop cycle, it usually goes back to recharge at around 60 percent completion. The cleaning itself takes about three hours, and with charging time included, the total time is longer. If I run vacuum only, it finishes in about two hours without needing to recharge. It may feel expensive at first, but after using it every day for 3months, I genuinely feel it was worth every penny. I honestly can’t imagine going back to cleaning without this. My only regret is not buying it sooner.

Works Great So Far
05/26/2025: Giving my initial review of the Roborock Saros 10r and will update. In my home we have medium pile carpet, hardwood and tile floors as well as rugs across two levels. This includes thresholds of varying heights... some tall enough to really stub your toe. FYI: The package does not include the floor cleaning solution, so you will need to purchase that separately for the purposes of mopping. My Roborock Saros 10r arrived on 05/21/2025, so at this point I've had it 5 days and my intent is to really put this through its paces while I'm still able to return it. Packaging from Amazon & Roborock was great and it arrived in pristine condition. Device setup was easy and the instructions were clear enough that I had no issues. One thing I would highly suggest during setup, since this device must be connected to wifi, put it on either a different wifi network (I have an IoT network that can't connect to devices on my "normal" network with laptops/computers/phones/tablets) or if your router doesn't support that it may have a "Guest" network you can add it to. No matter how much or how little you pay for your Smart Home/IoT devices just keep in mind that they can become threats to your devices, their security and your privacy if that device or company becomes compromised. This is a small bit of protection, but worth it. Speaking of privacy, this device has a built-in voice assistant. I have not activated it and have no intent to do so. Since it was not activated, my understanding is that this prevents it from listening at all. Additionally this device uses cameras to help navigate obstacles in addition to lidar. Not much you can do about this, but there is a feature where you can enable the camera remotely and drive the Saros 10r around your home to view things. I have not enabled this or used this feature. My understanding with this feature is that if you don’t enable it then the potential for that feature to be exploited (someone else looking through the camera) is greatly reduced. The account set up in the app was simple, just make sure you use a strong password that is unique (not used by any of your other accounts). The app works well, but settings can be difficult to find. Take time to really explore all of the settings in the app so you get the experience you’re looking for. Out of the box the Saros 10r announces very loudly when it’s cleaning, when it’s returning to charge, etc. The setting to turn the volume down is in the app under Settings > Voice Assistant > Volume. The initial mapping of the main floor of my home was quick and accurate. It identified surfaces accurately as well as the stairs leading to the basement. You can really customize the cleaning behavior in the app, so I wanted max suction for the vacuuming and I wanted it to leave the mopping pads behind and only mop after vacuuming. It navigated the main floor without issue, returned to empty the dust bin as needed and when it was done vacuuming it returned to the base, picked up the mop pads and proceeded to mop the tile and hardwood floors. During the mopping I have it set to return to the base every 15 minutes to clean the mop pads. I was very happy with the job it did with both vacuuming and mopping. Additionally the brush design works great with hair, well human hair at least. We don’t have pets. There are several women with extremely long hair that was a challenge for my Neato Botvac D3 and Roomba J7+ with the brush rollers getting tangled with hair. I’m happy to say that after multiple runs the Saros 10r brushes had zero hair in them. Also, the extending arm for cleaning in corners and along walls seems to work great as well. The mopping was impressive. One of the mop pads extends out to get close to walls and corners which is a nice touch. You can also set many options for mopping in the app such as how much water is used and detecting areas that might need some extra attention. Again, really explore the app to customize the experience you want. The water reservoirs for clean and dirty water are easy to remove, fill and empty. My next test, cleaning on a separate floor of my home. This was easy enough, I was able to move just the robot to the basement. I created a separate map for the basement. There are several high thresholds here and the Saros 10r was able to navigate over them with ease. I didn’t try mopping since I feel like I would need to move the base downstairs to get the best experience. I may do this at some point, but not today. My take away, the Saros 10r is absolutely capable of easily vacuuming at least two floors. The base station seems quite capable, it’s able to empty the dustbin and it’s not too loud. The mop pad washing, cleaning and drying works quite well so far. Overall I’m pleased so far and at this price point… anyone who purchases this should be. I’ve experienced no issues and the device has received two firmware updates. I fully intend to continue heavily using the Saros 10r during my return window and will update this review if I encounter issues. Consumable and replaceable parts are also on my radar. The robot seems to be fairly serviceable and I hope that being able to purchase those parts will be affordable in the future, especially batteries. The base station however I'm not sure about.
