The knife is lightweight, comfortable to wield, and not too short (about the length of a bread knife). The guide locks nicely and allows consistently even thickness in slices, the serrated blade is sharp and works very well on vegetables (gherkins to whole cabbages), breads (English muffins to dense loaves), and meats (de-boned fowl pieces to large roasts). Highly recommended.
