Easy to use on the "M" setting, easy to focus manually. No AF function. Takes great pictures, very clear and has a big distance range. Need to use with a tripod.

I was wary about using a non-brand-name lens with my Canon DSLR, but this lens is great. It does not interface with the auto-focus on the camera, so it's manual-focus only, and you have to manually adjust fstop and aperture, but that's kinda the point with a DSLR anyway -- ultimate control over exposure. My only caution is that because it does not have image stabilization use a tripod and a timer to take your pictures. This is not a lens for action shots! By using the timer, you give the camera a few seconds to settle down after pressing the shutter release. (I suppose you could also use a remote shutter release, but I don't have one of those.) The price point was excellent which is what made me decide to try this lens. It comes packaged in its own protective sleeve with a place to mount the lens to your tripod which helps make it more stable.
