Hill's Science Diet Adult 7+ Wet Cat Food, Turkey Minced, 5.5 oz. Cans, 24-Pack

My three boys are all teenagers and I want to keep them as healthy as possible as long as possible. I have had good luck previously with Science Diet products in elderly cats so I decided to give this a try. I fully expected they wouldn't like it because it might be good for them, and after all, they are cats. They surprised me by loving it. To put it as delicately as possible, this has also improved the by product they leave in the litterbox. The stuff you have to sift out of the litterbox is exactly the right consistency and less smelly than on their previous food. If I had a complaint at all it would be with the consistency of the "minced" food. It is actually very finely ground and since there is no excess liquid, I kind of have to dig to get it out of the can as it is gooey.

Great wet food for CRF/CKD cats. Very low in phosphorus. Wish it was grain-free and no meat by-product, but at this point beggars can't be choosers. It's one of the few that my picky 16 year old cat will eat. His biggest issue though is that he likes to lightly lick up his food instead of take solid bites so it takes him FOREVER to finish his wet food if it's too solid. Sometimes he'll finish this food, sometimes he won't. He loves the taste though... just seems to get too lazy to keep eating since it takes him so long. I've also found that giving him a variety has helped keep him interested in it. So I give him the Gourmet Beef, Savory Seafood and Chicken flavors. Wish they sold the variety packs with this combo.

My two cats love this food! All I have to do is appear to be headed into the kitchen, and they come running in hopes of getting a snack. The food itself is very well minced and easy for both cats to consume, despite each of them having had dental work done in the form of tooth removal for one and partial tooth removal for the other, due to gingivitis and tooth lesions, respectively. The food is also high quality, easy on their digestion, and seems to reduce instances of vomiting. So far, my cats have loved all the flavors, too, except for the beef flavor. That's probably just them being ornery, though.

I'm sure this is good for my cats - it's just very "mushy" - not "solid" at all (all flavors the same). Appears to be easy for them to digest (not throwing it up), but they're not wild about it. Was using this "mature adult", but have switched to "adult" now. I feed my cats "scoop" of science diet/mature and one scoop (about tablespoon) of other (Friskies/new "morning" or "indoor" series). I have 5 cats, ages about 8 to about 16 years. I gave it 4 only because of the way it looks (pastey). The "adult" has slightly more texture (than adult mature), but still mushy & stickes to the dish. UPDATE 08/25/14: switched to royal canin canned "instintive" about 6 to 8 months ago (cats just did not really like the sciene diet); royal "looks better", not pasty at all. royal canin also good/throw ups significantly reduced along with their dry food too. BUT, recently tried Purina One dry for sensitive stomachs - and after 1 week....no throw ups! And they like it! I ordered purina canned - trying that w/the purina dry. will see how that works out. so far, so good, and less expensive. ships nice and fast (w/prime) - and I love that it saves me from having to go to pet store (where I always spend more money on "extra stuff").

My car is older and went from being an outdoor cat to an indoor cat. She was becoming lethargic and seemed to be getting some health issues, nothing I could pinpoint just overall lack of energy and seemed miserable. Since switching to this food she has livened up and has been wanted to take short stints outside again. I saw an almost an immediate change when I switched. She only likes the food in gravy so this was great as most brands for older cats only do pate.

This food was prescribed by my vet. My cat is usually stubborn when it comes to transitioning foods but she transitioned quickly with this one so I feel like that’s a good sign she likes it and it’s quality. My cat was sick before but has been much better since the switch.

Ok, I purchased this because 1) it didn't appear to be a pate going by the pictures, 2) my cat seems to be allergic to chicken, giving him diarrhea (I say seems because that is as much as I've been able to narrow it down) and three, Science Diet, right? First, it is a straight of puree, no chunks at all even to the slightest, with about the consistency of a very wet dough. And the stickiness as well. Second, the ingredients aside from turkey are, in order: pork, salmon, pork, corn, powdered cellulose, corn meal, wheat flour, soybean meal, and then a couple forms of chicken. Simply, in general order, these are the same types of additional ingredients you get in a normal can of Friskies for about half the price or less. I still don't get why so many types of plant materials are ever put into food -- let alone high price food -- that is supposed to be fed to a feline, the only true carnivores among mammals, and which have evolved to take nutrition solely from other animals. Frankly, feeding plant matter to a cat -- regardless how much it is processed -- is about like feeding wood pulp to a dog.

My cats love this stuff! I have two and one got so sick she refused to eat. After taking her to the animal hospital, we were told that she would only eat wet food (we previously had them both on dry). The doctor recommended Science Diet and we haven't looked back! It may be pricier than other brands but that's because they take more time to give the food the best nutritional value. My other cat took to the dry to wet switch immediately and after a while we switched to a dry/wet combo. Ordering the food online is so convenient and I usually get the order within three of four days of placing it. I would recommend this brand for any cat owners.

My cat needs to have medicate every morning and evening, so we use canned food to give it to her (I divide each can into quarters, so 1 can does 2 feedings on 2 different days). I was buying individual cans at the local pet store before it went to curb-side pick up only, but needed more and they were closed. I bought this and another flavour and we ended up with a 96 day (little over 3 month) supply for our super senior cat. She's a picky eater, but usually eats this meat no problem. I will be buying this again soon, as we're running low on our stockpile (but not out).

Lo compré por recomendación para mi gato de 15 años, el sabor le encantó. Pero es muy caro y la lata es pequeña por lo que tengo que complementar su comida con otra marca mucho más barata.
