I love the look of these carbon fiber mirror caps on my all-black Tiguan. After a year on use, I began to notice the caps finish began to fade. Was it due to the sun, or could it be wear from the car wash? In any event I ordered a second set and sprayed them with 2 coats of professional clear coat before installing. Six months in and the caps look as good as new.
