Two filmmakers, Rebecca and Mark, set up camp in the woods with a plan to make a hoax film about the mythical Bigfoot . As night fell however nothing could have prepared them for the horrifying and all too real events that would unfold.

Far better than Willow Creek
This movie is far better than Willow Creek and a lot of other found footage movies. The plot follows the usual set up, which involves planning, interviewing some people about Bigfoot, the area where some people went missing, being warned off by locals and travelling to the spot. We then have several days of night visitations from the creature and scary scenes in the woods with the creature stalking them. One of the things that makes this movie better than Willow Creek, is that you get to glimpse the monster. The only negative about this movie, is that the filmmakers refer to the Yeti a lot, but that could be down to the ignorance and naivety of the characters.

The Sea [rental]
In the first 20 minutes it held some promise. The sister being interviewed about the missing people in the opening actually does interact with them in some scenes, so that's something, at least she isn't just a framing device. But then, they go into the woods and things play out like every found footage movie, pretty much. There's a couple of unexpected bits actually, but... it's not enough.

Nothing new but competent filming and holds its own
Mark and Rebecca have planned to make a hoax documentary about Bigfoot and travel to a remote American location to follow in the steps of a couple and their son, the couple having since gone missing. They commence their filming but very quickly start to hear and see 'things' that they can't explain. As they proceed they find there actually is something strange out there, and it is hunting them. Twelve months later their footage is found but there is no sign of the two. This film is quite entertaining but doesn't really do anything that other Bigfoot films haven't delivered before. We have an unbelieving couple who go to a location and interview the locals, who warn them not to go into the woods. They go, of course, and camp, then see and hear things that eventually prove dangerous. There are a number of brief creature reveals in this film which are pretty good - you get to see enough to know what the creature is but not so much that you get all your questions answered. A potential issue is that there is an incredible amount of shaky cam which may upset some. The film is possibly also a bit long as there is a lot of running and screaming towards the end which is a bit repetitive. However this is still a pretty good effort for a budget Bigfoot film.
