Delighted with this product, sturdy, easy to out together with another person, our tomatoes are thriving in it. Arrived quickly and securely packed.

I was drawn to this kit by the wide range of customisable sizes, as I wanted a long slimline raised bed for a narrow border. Arrived very quickly and well packaged. All required pieces were present - just one screw short. Recommend assembling on a nice, flat surface and using a cordless driver. Some of the long (front and back) sections were inconsistently sized in my kit, resulting in a few small vertical gaps in the assembled unit. A number of the pre-drilled pilot holes were in the wrong position and others were absent - drilling new pilot holes with a 2mm wood bit was no big deal though. Once assembled, it’s sturdy and looks pretty good if you don’t dwell on a few small vertical gaps. Decent enough for the money.

Literally received damp and warped planks of wood, which were not equal sizes and had no predrilled holes as some other reviews suggest. Rough-ish cuts of wood are maybe to be expected - but for £135, you hope they would be free of extensive knotting / defects. You'd be better off getting your wood from a local hardware store - at least you'll be able to guarantee quality yourself. Assembly was arduous given the need to make 100+ clearance holes (to be measured out and located yourself, and needing to be made larger than the instructions suggest) and then forcibly bend warped planks into shape. I can see this being possible to assemble with 1 person if everything was manufactured well and warp free, but this instance required 2 people + some G-clamps to straighten out the planks during assembly. The end result was passable, but purely through stubborn grit and returns not being a viable option.

Bought a 4x8 ft in the ‘two high’ variant but have decided I’ll actually make it as two single-height beds. The wood was good quality although rough sawn ends. These are working beds not pretty sanded wood. Went together easily. All screws were the same length and the right length for all the connections (end posts and middle connectors). I found it easy and fast to assemble with power tools. It would take a lot longer and more effort if you were using a simple screwdriver as you need to screw through into the wood. You need to use a bit of logic at the corners as there are 2 sets of pilot holes on the planks and you want to use the right one or you’ll miss the post, but it’s not complicated to work it out. The final assembled bed is strong and looks like it will keep its shape well even with an 8ft length. And it was cheaper than buying the equivalent wood at any of my local DIY stores or builders merchants.

There was condensation inside the packages when it arrived, so the wood was a bit damp. After drying it out, it all required sanding and multiple coats of primer and sealant. A couple of the boards splintered along the edge too. The kit comes with screws but is not pre-drilled. I was using the video guide on the product page to build the planter, but it shows more screws than are supplied (8 per board when it should be 4 per board), so be sure to count out your screws before starting! That aside it was easy to put together with a drill, and is as advertised for size and appearance.

Exactly what I needed, cheaper to buy this than the wood to make it and being ready cut to the size I wanted it was quick and easy to build. Just to note there weren’t enough screws provided if you use the amount suggested but fortunately I already had some other screws I could use so wasn’t an issue.

Bought this to make a sandpit for our puppy, few planks were broken, and it was hard to build it straight, so corners are not touching other planks. Maybe a builder can do it but I couldn’t. No instructions. Wouldn’t buy again but couldn’t bother to return as very heavy do made it work.
