One of the biggest perks is remote access. As long as your NAS is connected to the internet through LAN, you can reach your files from anywhere whether you’re on your phone at a cafe or on a laptop abroad. It’s freeing not having to rely on Google Drive or similar services. Everything runs through Synology’s dedicated apps and DiskStation Manager (DSM), which makes backing up, sharing or streaming content pretty straightforward. Syncing photos from phones, setting up automatic backups, or even sharing folders with friends is easy once you get the hang of the software. Cons: no built-in Wi-Fi support. In a world where almost every device has wireless connectivity, it feels like a missed opportunity that you can’t just plug the NAS in wirelessly and go it still needs a wired LAN connection. 写真等のデータの保存はもちろん、ソフト群も充実しているし、docker を利用することもできるし、できることがたくさんあってとても良いです。フル活用するならメモリの増設は欠かせません。

安く購入できやりたいことすべてできるのはいい。メモリも上げたので快適そのもの。長く使います。

上位機種は発売されていますが、今後はsynology製のHDDしか使用できなくなるとの発表があったためあえて一代前のこの製品を選びました synologyはこれで3台目なので今後も使い続けたいのですがひょっとしたらこれが最後になるかもしれません（今後他のメーカー製のHDDもサポートするようになると報道もありましたが） リンクアグリゲーションを使えるので読み書きのスピードも前機種より速くなり安定しています 個人用にはオーバースペックな気はしますが、とても快適です

写真管理に特化した機能（人物、モノによるカテゴライズ）があるモデルが限られるということでこのモデルを選択。 2本挿しでraidが組めるという点も選択理由。 DS120jあたりから買い替えたが、何となく転送速度も上がっている気がする。 また、写真管理のカテゴライズはAmazonフォトやGoogleフォトには劣るものの「自分で管理しているNASだから動画も画質も意識せずに保存できる」という安心感がある。

純正の増設メモリの規格/容量が違っていますが認識され、正常に稼働しています。 ちなみに、メーカーはCrucialのものです。 DS215ｊから10年ぶりに乗り換えました。DS215ｊは特にトラブルはなかったのですが、コロナ以降動画記録の保存が増えてたことが大きいです。また写真の自動分類をしてくれる機能が付いたことも後押しました。現在は10Ｔｘ２のハードディスクで運用中です。

Für kleine Unternehmen oder Projekte zur Datensicherung ist dieses Gerät sehr zu empfehlen. Installation und Einstellung sind reibungslos verlaufen. Die Bedienung ist intuitiv und auch für Einsteiger gut verständlich.

I bought this NAS for one of my projects on Synology but I m using it on daily basis. It's worth the price

For the price this is the best NAS/homenserver that I have used, reliable, silent, full of nice features. I used this to quit using google drive and having my own cloud.

Just updated my old synology NAS to this, the new DS224+. Big difference from the old one as this has the Intel Chip with built in graphics, so will transcode video in different formats depending on device being used to view content. Runs Plex server brilliantly. Was going to try a different manufacturer this time, but decided to stick with synology. Thier operating system (DSM OS) is flawless. Just put my Hard drives from the old synology Nas to the new one and using the 'migrate' function was up and running with no loss of data in around 30 minutes.
