The zippers are very sturdy. The heavy duty aspect of this purse does compromise a little on the desire to have the most light weight option available. However I gladly sacrifice the lightest weight for sturdiness. I fell I will use this on a daily basis too, but it is great for traveling and keeping items handy. The strap is adjustable if you want to use it as a shoulder bag.
