Although I did not enjoy using the bags and crystals for collection and disposal it does work. It is very stable and sturdy too (I am not a light weight). The lid closes tight to prevent smells and works well. It is a little short for an adult and maybe a little tall for a small toddler but a three yo just worked ( I put mine on a really useful box for the perfect height for me).
