Business Class Printer on a Home Office Budget
This is an exceptional printer. It is a heavy duty laser printer and will meet most any home office demands. It has a bigger footprint than I expected, however, the print quality and versatility over shadows the physical size. It was money well spent.

Worst possible printer
Purchased brand new, stopped working, called LexMark directly, spent three days trying to correct issue for error they have never heard of before. Simply stopped helping us. Contacted Amazon, they sent a new one- was NOT a new printer- and first page we TRIED to print, this one does not work either.

A printing monster!
I have some higher-capacity printing needs from time to time, but more frequently, I'm just doing 2 - 3 page printouts. Since so many laser printers take a short eternity to wake, warm, and print from sleep, I don't think I've owned one for more than a few weeks. I've been pretty faithful to my HP PageWide printers. Problem is: even with generic cartridges finally on the market, the consumable price is steep. This laser printer from Lexmark may be the game changer I've been waiting for.Network setup was pretty simple using the Lexmark app on my Android phone, but doesn't really offer the advanced configuration you get from the built-in print server. That print server is a bit primitive, compared to what you'd expect to see from HP or Canon, but it gets the job done.On my first few print jobs, I was really impressed by how quickly it shot pages out. I knew there was going to be a point where it beat out my PageWide printers on multi-page output, but Lexmark had smacked the PageWides down on the very first page.I figured there had to be a tradeoff somewhere (well, besides not being a color printer) and let the Lexmark fall asleep. To my absolute amazement, it fired off quick one and two page jobs from sleep as though it hadn't been asleep at all. Yet the power consumption in sleep mode was pretty light.Output was decent quality -- not that it should be a question for any modern laser printer -- but even photos came out better than expected. I also liked that you can expand this with additional paper handling options. So, a few downsides here: First, the replacement toner is kind of expensive, and Lexmark doesn't make it easy to choose with their different sizing options. I haven't gone through the toner it shipped with, so sizing the replacement toner is a bit of a question mark until I get a final page count.Another annoyance is that Lexmark went with this teeny-tiny display, and a full keypad. In an office setting, this is almost certainly going to confuse people into thinking that this is a multi-function device and not just a monochrome printer. I would have preferred if they had gone with a larger display that was touch-sensitive. The only real function the keypad performs is entering a PIN for secure printing.Overall, I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with Lexmark here. This printer has earned a permanent spot in my home office.

Huge printer but fast and easy to set up.
I love this printer. 65 ppm and no issues so far. It blows away all of my inkjet printers in speed. Print quality is excellent.

Great for printing first class envelopes
Very fast to print, nice printer, great for envelopes, half the price of an HP with similar features.

Junk stay away
I thought I'd try Lexmark, bought 3 units MS517dn, B2865dw. I've heard nothing but good reviews. I wish I could say the same. Toner is extremely expensively. the B2865 breaks down constantly. Stick with HP.

Too much fan error and Amazon Customer Agent leave "in Air"
4 days after the unboxing, the printer started randomly to indicate a "fan error". If you turn off and on it will resume. I contacted Amazon Support and the person tell me to wait on line in order to address the issue. I'm still waiting.
