What is the length of the rubber band?

It starts out about 4" and will stretch to about 8. We tried everything and who would have thought industrial strength rubber bands would have worked the best!!!???

The legs on my sofa are square and larger on top than bottom. Will these work on tapered legs?

Purchased a couch here on Amazon and wanted to connect the ottomans to keep them from moving. The manufacturer said they couldn’t sell me extra connectors so after days of trying to find duplicate connectors I found these and thought it was worth a try. They work perfectly. Did the job. Ottomans stay in place and it really was as simple as connecting the rubber bands to the legs of the couch and the ottoman. Not to mention it was only a few dollars. Economical and effective.
