Can this be used as a moisturizer on your face

Hey Tiffany, I am not to certian if it can be used as a face moisturizer. I bought this for my hair and it does wonders. I also use this on other areas of my skin like my elbows and knees, sometimes legs for dry skin but for the face you make have to do some more research. Sorry I couldnt answer fully but still hopes this helps.

Is this supposed to just be the pure castor oil version? Why does it say coconut on the jar? Also, is it soft when you scoop it out or is it hard?

I have ordered all three varieties, original, lavender and coconut out of curiosity and reading some reviews concerned about the butter being too hard. The original and lavender are much softer but the coconut is harder, more solid and as I suspected it’s because it contains actual coconut oil which tends to solidify (look at any coconut oil sold in stores and you can see) The only exceptions when coconut is not as solid are if it’s stored above a certain temperature or if it’s fractionated coconut oil which means it’s still good just a bit more processed and part that makes it solid is separated. I’ve personally used it with great results. Perhaps if the company would use this type of coconut oil in their JBCO butter the consistency would be more like the other two varieties without compromising quality. Just saying. I will still keep my coconut variety since I do know how to work with it.
