A nice watch. Good quality, typical sturdy Soviet build. Keeps accurate time with more than adequate power reserve. Recommend this timepiece. It can't be compared to a Rolex but neither can the price but the performance is not far behind. UPDATE. Because of the invasion of Ukraine by Putin I will never buy Russian products again. Unfortunately I bought this months ago.

For the price this is a great watch. The finish isn't as good as a lot of watches but the movement is excellent.

I have an unhealthy obsession with watches and horology. I try to keep my watches to a minimum based on their use and usability. The Vostok line of watches are the reason I love watches. It's automatic in house movement is far superior to many 3 to 5 thousand dollar watches, believe me I know. I've made plenty of mistakes based on the name of the watch rather than It's performance. The Vostok Amphibian is a very well made incredible watch. It arrived time and date set and is now my every day bang around watch. At around 100 dollars I can't find anything that performs this well. Get this watch!

First off, for being a mechanical watch it arrived ticking away when I opened the package. It is supposed to have a 36 hour run time from full wind. That means it wasn't sitting on a shelf in some distant warehouse for ages. It is precisely built and has a quality heavy feel. The time and date were easy to set. Being it's automatic, self winding I haven't had to touch the winding feature on the stem. The black vinyl strap was extremely easy to adjust and trim.

An eye-catching watch that is unique and far from run of the mill. I am most surprised by the watch's accuracy. Far surpasses the accuracy of my Seikos with the 6R15 and 6R35 movements. With average daily wear, currently getting +1 seconds / day.

It’s unique and I like the looks and that I can add another country to the list of countries represented in my collection. But the steel bracelet is terrible cheap garbage, I had to immediately change it. Also, the crown dangles like it’s detached and broken after unscrewing but that’s just how it is. Setting the date is unintuitive and overly difficult due to the way the movement works. It also took a VERY long time to receive as it shipped out from Russia.
