Great and easy espresso machine
We upgraded our home coffee experience with this machine a few months ago. We love it. I like espresso drinks with oatmilk foam, my spouse likes black coffee. It took some practice to set the drink preferences but once we did we both have a favorite go to coffee. There are several other options and we continue to explore different types of coffee drinks. The machine is easy to setup and operate by following the prompts. The screen is easy to read and provides instructions to maintain. I like the two hoppers. We use one for regular and one for decaf. We also purchased a small frothing pitcher to keep under the machine to catch water from when it runs a cycle to heat up at start or flushes water at shutdown. It is just easier though the drip pan is sufficient for this well. It does take a few minutes to brew a latte but you can walk away while it is brewing. There are several features to personalize grind and strength but once we found what we like we have not made many adjustments. We created a profile for guests who want to tailor their coffee preferences without changing ours. It's expensive but for us probably worth it as we are finding we prefer our coffee drinks over going out for coffee.

Elegant, easy and amazing coffee from the Rivelia
When I first unboxed the Rivelia I was a little concerned that I was over my head. There seemed like a lot of parts compared to a drip coffee maker that I'm used to. However, assembly is really intuitive actually, and when you power the Rivelia on it walks you through the initial setup. The screen is incredibly clear and responsive. This is not some after thought. The first setup and rinse process is all done step by step on screen. Creating profiles is easy, and a nice touch for families with different favorite drinks. Anyways, the machine is great, it looks fantastic, and it's super easy to use. Now how about the coffee drinks? AMAZING! The Rivelia quickly and efficiently makes incredible drinks! My go-to coffee bean has never tasted better! I'm absolutely thrilled with this machine so far! The only drawback I can call-out is the undersized water tank, which isn't a deal breaker, but it may be a slight annoyance when entertaining or some such.

Broken machine, poor customer support
The machine came to me broken, not because of shipping but what appears to be a manufacturing defect. The Rivelia would not function unless I used a hack I found on YouTube where you wedge some paper under the coffee grounds retainer. This gets rid of a fault warning and the unit then works normally. It does make wonderful drinks. After being persistent I finally got a support person to assist me. We spent about 30-40 minutes on the phone where I sent him videos he requested. After considerable time he came back with a resolution. They would ship me a new unit and had me sending the old unit back. I was told this would take 7-10 days. Not the solution I expected but I agreed to it. Fast forward a couple of days, I get a long email telling me they don’t like the receipt I gave them from Amazon and that they were now reviewing their options. Currently I have a coffee machine that I spent a lot of money on that will not work unless I gerrymander it. I am also dealing with a company that doesn’t seem anxious to support its product. If De’Longhi doesn’t come up with a solution quickly this Rivelia is going back to Amazon. This was a Christmas present that was suppose to be a treat, but has become a burden. I will updated this review of De’ Longhi’s customer services I get more information.

De'Longi Rivelia
Thoroughly impressed with the Revelia Espresso Machine. It's easy to use and clean. You set up, up to 4 profiles and adjust the strength and sized of each coffee based on personal preference. Having the ability to use several hoppers for different types of coffee was the selling point for me. My wife uses decaf and I use regular and decaf dark roast. The coffee comes out hot with lots of creme. The grinder is a little loud but you get use to it. Compared to other machines of this caliber it was well worth the money. The easy to read display reminds you to clean the used grinds and to clean the milk container. I would recommend this to any coffee aficionado.

Great machine with the exception of one big frustration
This purchase was to replace a Magnifica that had brewed 32,000+ 4oz cups. I'm hoping to get at least that many brews out of this one. It brews great coffee/americano's/lattes and the ability to easily switch beans is a game changer. The major frustration that I have that other reviewers have mentioned is the "tray error" This happens at least once a day and sometimes more. During the middle of the brew, the machine will stop until you nudge the tray a bit to the right and then the brew will continue. The switch in the grounds tray is just way to sensitive and needs to be re-engineered.

Whopping huge upgrade in every way over my old De'Longhi
I just upgraded from a five year old De'Longhi Magnifica S espresso machine. I thought it was broken, which was what started me looking, but after I'd bought the Rivelia, I was able to get it working again. It made no difference. Once I tried the Rivelia, I was done with my old machine. I had two of them (one for home, one for work) and replaced both of them with Rivelias. It was a no brainer. The Rivelia is effectively the same machine, but much, much better. Here's why: 1) The taste is just better. The foam from the Magnifica always tasted strange, and I found I'd just stopped making lattes, even though that was primarily why I'd bought the machine in the first place. Americanos are also wonderful, and now I'm torn between what drink I'm going to have next, and I haven't even explored most of the options! 2) I can finally get enough volume to fill up my cup with the intensity I want. The old machine was geared around traditional espresso sizes, and I'm more of a grande guy. 3) The new touch screen has profiles so I can customize the drinks how I like, which is fantastic for our office and the heathens who don't know how to make coffee. 4) It no longer prompts me to empty the grounds when it's not really filled up. The one caveat I do have is that when it tells me to empty the grounds, the grounds container sometimes is locked in, and I still haven't quite figured out how to unlock it reliably (maybe the little red plastic piece)? I always get it open, but it's a bit irritating to initially pull it and have it stuck. 5) It's quieter than the old unit, and turns on and heats up faster. 6) I love the ability to switch between beans, which is sweet for decaf and non-decaf, and the aforementioned heathens with their bad coffee choices. 7) The design of the machine is attractive, and it feels elegant to use. This was a huge upgrade over my older De'Longhi in every way and I couldn't (other than the locked grounds tray) be happier.

We love this Ravelia!! Get ready for much better coffee
We bought the Delonghi Rivelia to replace the popular K-cup system. We absolutely love this new coffee/espresso maker. Setup is real easy. Walks you through every step. Offers 18 different drink styles and divides them between “milk” and “coffee”. Easy to use. Dual hopper system is great for quickly going from regular coffee beans to espresso (cappuccino, macchiato, etc). The milk frothing is very easy and all handled for you. You can choose the level of frothiness on the unit. The only negative I have is the water container is half the size of my old k cup machine. After a couple of drinks made (and their cleaning cycles where they flush the system), the water is very low. All in all, we love it and highly recommend it. Delonghi did a great job with this machine!!!

Delonghi sells crap product and uses delay tactics with their customers experiencing issues.
Don’t buy this machine. I don’t know where this company gets off charging this amount for a big piece of electronic junk. I bought this machine and paid this amount of money to have a hands off experience when making coffee. If I wanted a hands on experience I would have bought something manual and used my hands but it seems you get what you pay for with this American company. Iv spent weeks trying to solve an error screen that requires the ground container to be emptied when in fact there is nothing to be emptied. There is a sensor that senses when the tray is inserted back in that’s completely defective. I spend either all morning trying to fix this issue or arguing with my wife why I paid so much for this junk. I of course contacted Delonghi to give them the benefit of the doubt that they would acknowledge customers at this price point probably don’t want to be given the run around and health with directly. But that’s exactly my experience with this company. Many requests for videos requests for explanations to get help none of which actually address my problems. FYI I cleaned out every piece of coffee ground after this video and nothing helps. Do yourself a favor and get something more reliable. I also bet now the company will try and reach out and make some excuse but iv given them their shot and I’m not changing this review. Deal with your customers better. Update - I sent this unit in for “repair” and of course they sent me an email about how the repair was a success. I couldn’t make more than 2 cups and still got the same BS error message from before the repair. What a joke of a company.

Sencond Delonghi in 3 months and again, defective at the start
I just recieved my new Rivelia. This is my 2nd attempt at Delonghi. Three months ago, I had purchased a Dinamica Plus through Amazon. That machine had to be returned after 1 week because of a defective pump. After 3 months of attempts to get refunded, because it was sold through Amazon by a non-authorized seller, I finally got a refund last week. I then took another chance with Delonghi and ordered the Rivelia. I read good reviews and so I trusted the product. The product was delivered by ASL Distribution. Although I was supposed to sign for this package, it was left on my front porch and the delivery was made at 3:30 in the morning. That's 3:30am!!! No signature required apparently. But on to the problem with the machine: When I started it for the first time, it stopped just before the first rinse and told me to empty the grounds tray in order to proceed. I did that, even though there were no grounds to empty since I just started up the machine. But after reinserting the tray, the message persisted and the machine would not move on to the next step. It displayed that I had to make sure that the side door was closed and that the grounds tray was reinserted. I checked both these things about 100 times, tried removing and reinserting the brew group, etc. Nothing worked. It would not go past this screen. I went on the Delonghi website to see if there was a fix, but they don't even have that listed as a problem, so no help there. I searched the Internet for a fix to this and apparently it is a manufacturing defect with the grounds tray not sitting correctly on some Rivelia machines that causes this. The YouTube solution was to fold up a small piece of paper and place it under the tray before reiserting it into the machine. Trial and error, they say. SInce I purchased a brand new machine, I don't want to have to start modifying it with strange gadget-fixes to get it to work! I will contact Delonghi CS tomorrow (since today is Sunday) and hope that they can send me either a new part or a new machine! My trust and confidence in Delonghi is far from good right now. I really want to like this machine and the Delonghi product line, but problem after problem does not inspire that.

Over the top pleased with purchase
Bought this machine after our daughter shared a few recipes from her machine over Christmas. Being seniors we were a bit worried about setup and use of this machine. We did not have any problems setting up the machine or our user profiles. We are very fussy (coffee snobs actually) about our freshly ground drip coffee flavour that we were used to for 30 years this led to concern about this machine being able to meet our expectations for flavour. Rest assured this machines coffee recipe exceeded our expectations by multiples for flavour from our favourite bean. Also having fun exploring all of other recipes with decaf beans for an afternoon treat. Cappuccinos was all we knew how make. Now we can make an impressive lineup of recipes because of this machine’s capabilities.

I am so impressed!!
I have tried 3 machines: Delonghi Elatta, Phillips 5500 and now the Delonghi Rivelia. The Rivelia is the clear winner for me, with the exchangeable bean hoppers and the addition of the Lattecreama Cool Upgrade. But more importantly it is much easier to use and to clean, when compared to the other 2 machines. It gets a 5 star rating mostly because it produces the best coffee taste of the 3 units. I think this one is a keeper!

Hold It In Place!
I have had this coffee maker for a week. So far the only problem I'm having is that the drip tray needs regular adjusting, sometimes stopping in the middle of making a cup of coffee. It's like there's a sensor in it that doesn't realize the drip tray is in place, maybe the material is too light to hold it steady? if you hold it while it's grinding it works fine. I've placed it on a sturdy, flat surface so that's not the issue. Maybe should have bought the Miele?
