I was pleasantly surprised by how authentic these udon noodles taste. They have that thick, chewy texture you expect from good Sanuki udon, and they hold up beautifully whether you use them in hot broth or stir-fry. The freshness makes a big difference compared to dried noodles. Cooking them is very simple. They only need a few minutes in boiling water and they are ready to go. I have paired them with miso broth, soy-based soups, and even just tossed them with sesame oil and vegetables, and they always turn out satisfying. The packaging is neat and keeps the noodles from clumping. Each pack feels like the right portion for a meal, which makes weeknight cooking easier. Chewy, dense and delicious noodles for a quick meal
Made a yaki udon stir fry with chicken and veggies and it turned out amazing. I actually came on here just now to order more of these as I loved the dish I made, but I want to make again using a homemade sauce rather than a jarred Pad Thai sauce like I used the other night for first round.
