It's been on my wall all winter inside my detached garage and it has made keeping the garage cleaner a lot easier to accomplish. It's always plugged in and ready to go and the bottom dirt bin and filter are very easy to empty and clean. The hose is long enough to cover all the corners of my 24x26 garage and it is a wet dry vac so there's that additional functionality. This also makes it extremely easy to keep her vehicles clean as I have mine mounted near the overhead door in my detached garage so you need only pull a car up to the door and just haul the holes out instead of having a vacuum and then getting an extension cord. It comes with some tools so you should be able to do a fairly good job of cleaning your vehicle with what comes with the vacuum. As soon as the suction power dives off, you'll know you have to clean the filter. It is a fairly tough multi-layer fabric type filter that can be run underwater to clean or just tapped on the side of a tree or fence post to knock the loose dirt out of it. I estimate about threes years with not very much use but when I use it, I use it hard. Great when it was new. Now very loud and don't have much suction, almost useless. Very well constructed though, solid motor and impeller but impossible to change the motor brushes without ripping it out from the holder - maybe need special tool, didn't have to be that way. Filters are the weak link, need to be cleaned constantly even before the tank is filled to one inch. I think the dusts got into the motor/impeller and eat up the bearings. **Q: Will this defend your home against dragons?** A: only if dragons are afraid of Vacuums. **Q: What are the differences between the 18PO, 18PO1, and 18PO3?** A: Ok, so this was bugging me also on what the difference between the models is, So I called Bissell and they informed me that there is no difference the last # added to the model is added for different stores carrying the product.
