Ice Cream as a gift is the best
Humphry Slocombe makes incredible ice cream! The flavors were all interesting and delicious - they weren't 'interesting' for the sake of being different. Getting ice cream delivered as a gift was such a joyful surprise.

Tasty
This ice cream is very good, but I'm not sure it is worth the expense. If you don't have dairy farms in your area or exposure to good locally made ice cream, you might disagree with me. I live in CT, and we have a lot of local creameries with a superior product at a lower price point. Slocombe's might taste different at the shop than in a pint, I've never had it that way. The shipping was excellent, it arrived with some of the dry ice still intact and the ice cream was frozen with no sign of having melted.

Doesn't have any bourbon taste
This is supposed to be bourbon and cornflake cookie flavors. I bought this as a Xmas gift for my husband who loves bourbon. The only flavors we tasted were vanilla ice cream and soggy cornflakes. I don't recommend it.

Perfect
We ordered this for a friend - It is his favorite ice cream in the world. I was quite worried that it would arrive melted. It arrived rock-solid frozen. The only warning I would give it that I happened to check my doorstep and saw it. I usually get a warning when something is delivered and this time I did not. Plus, the product arrived two days earlier than scheduled. ALL GOOD!!! JUST GLAD I SAW IT.BONUS - my kids are enjoying playing with the dry ice and now researching its properties.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME.
What did I just waste my money on??? The texture is not creamy, it's more like iced milk, and there is nothing all that spectacular about the flavors. The "corn flakes cookies" in the Breakfast Secret flavor are what you would get if you let your corn flakes get soggy in milk and then freeze them. Tried a little bit of the vanilla, nothing special about it, either.RATING IS MINUS 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Super rich
I sent this to a friend in Cali for her birthday. This is what she said:“They are fantastic! Super rich, not a sit down and binge ice cream type of ice cream.” Her favorite was the black sesame.

Once an Amazing “Secret”, Now Another Tragic Story
I’m heartbroken.. I used to work at Blue Bottle Coffee in the earlier years (before James sold the majority of BBC to Nestle, one of the least ethical companies on earth). We would serve (ice cream/gelato w/ espresso on top). We used HS’s Secret Breakfast and it was incredible. I’d buy some from our supply after my shift. It was something so unique. The flavour, the texture, and the subtleties that made it wonderful. What I tasted out of the first carton was super sweet, bland, the corn flake “cookies” were bland and lifeless (I.e.no crunch).I don’t what’s going on with these small artisanal companies in SF. They used to have an amazing product, work ethic, and pride. Now they sell out, cash out and don’t give a *expletive*. Believe me, if you could time travel to SF in 2008-10 you’d be blown away.MAYBE it’s just the crap they sell online that’s of low tier quality and it’s still amazing in-shop... that’d be a silver lining. I know it’s a food item, but there’s something to be said for creating an amazing ice cream and then dropping quality once the notorious buyers come into play.I’ll digress.

Foodies Must Have!
My father’s, after ordering several more of his favorite flavors from the direct website, said “I’m runined for life. This is the best gd ice cream I’ve ever had, I’m RUINED”ONLY downside is the up charge, which I saw only once I received the package (which was pristine and complete with sufficient dry ice) as the up charge was like $15 more than if I’d ordered directly from the MFGR. The ice cream though? WOW.
