Okay, so the name "Liquid Death Severed Head Pomade" is metal AF. I'll admit, it grabbed my attention like a power chord to the face. But let me tell you, this pomade is no gimmick. It's the real deal. I've been on a never-ending quest for the perfect hair product. My hair is... challenging. It's thick, it's got a mind of its own, and most products leave it feeling like I've shellacked a bird's nest to my head. I've tried everything from drugstore goo to fancy salon pastes, and nothing quite hit the mark. Then I stumbled upon this Reuzel concoction. The first thing I noticed was the scent. It's subtle, clean, and doesn't scream "I'm trying too hard." It's more of a sophisticated whisper than a teenage battle cry. The texture is fantastic. Not sure about all these negative reviews, but I’ve bought this a couple of times now, and it’s become one of my favorite hair products. It gives a strong hold, but still leaves a matte finish, which is exactly what I was looking for. I don’t like products that make my hair look shiny or overly styled, and this keeps everything in place without that greasy look. I have a lot of fine, wavy hair and the texture is easy to work with, and a little goes a long way. It gives enough control to style my hair in the morning and still have it look decent later in the day. I also really like that it washes out easily. Some clay products feel like they’re glued into your hair by the end of the day, but this one rinses out without a fight. Overall, it’s a solid product. Good hold, natural finish, easy to use, and doesn’t leave my hair feeling gross. Definitely one I’ll keep buying.

I'm sensitive to scents, so I'm very picky about my husband's personal care products. Most hair waxes work well to style his hair, but almost all of them have overwhelming cologne-like scents that nauseate me. This has a delightful, light scent that is slightly minty. Sort of like those dessert mints (butter mints) that you get at restaurants. It's very pleasant and everyone who smells it loves it.

Firm hold confirmed as advertised. The scent is noticeable but not overpowering. It gives the matte look and not greasy. A solid choice.

Premium performing pomade. Goes on smoothly, no clumping or flaking and no shine - as my barber suggested. I have Asian male black hair (thick) and it holds place throughout the day. And if performance wasn’t enough, it smells better than 90% of my colognes (collector) it’s absolutely divine

So I ordered this a couple of months ago and was both excited and hesitant about what it was going to be like versus the gel that I had been using for the last several years. The quality of the gel I was previously using had begun to flake by the end of the day and I realized that their quality control or their care had fallen off completely. I did quite a bit of research and talked to a few different stylists who told me that this one was expensive but very very reliable and extremely easy on the hair. It smells really really good although I don't know how to articulate the smell you'll just have to trust me. It feels great by the end of the day it doesn't feel like a waxing mess in my hair and when I go to wash it out it comes out very very easy and clean. It doesn't feel all greasy and it looks very very natural if you use a little and if you use a lot it comes off with the appearance of throwing it in 15 or 20 minutes after getting out of the shower which can be a damp but not wet look. It's not at all greasy. Really really good stuff and I'm going to start getting this from here on out. I might try a couple different variations of it but this is definitely my new go to company for this kind of product.

I've been using this product on and off for a couple years. It has always been expensive for what it is, but this year, it's just gotten silly. I paid $13.99 for this, and can see that as of today, it has gone up to $17.99. There are plenty of similar products out there, and my advice based on value for money would be to look elsewhere outside of the Reuzel brand.

I was using Suavecito's fibre pomade for a few years, but they seem to have discontinued it. This is the best replacement I have found. It is non-sticky, no residue or flaking, and the medium hold leaves some natural bounce to my hair, which happens to be naturally quite curly. This stuff helps to tame the curls a little, but not by just making my hair unnaturally stiff. I recommend it.
