The best!
Best little jacket I've ever owned! Fit was perfect, kept me warm and dry but very lightweight. Just fantastic for a trip. Would buy one in every color if I could.

Quality, good price! Def waterproof!
Warmer, but still lightweight. Great color options, have in coral and lite gray

LDA jacket good as single or outer layer, with caveats on fit. Also, needs an inside pocket.
For water resistance, please look at other people’s reviews. This review focuses on fit and comparison with my old, Columbia Splash-a-Little Jacket. I am a 64yo woman, 5’4”, 147 lbs., 38D bust, relatively small waist, 44 hips, narrow shoulders, short arms. I wanted a slightly-warmer-than-the-Columbia shell to wear over a Petite Large L.L. Bean light puffer jacket, for rainy days with temps in the 40-60 degree F range. I also sought a dark color because the Columbia easily shows dirt. I purchased an XL in the LDA rain jacket after a Large in the LDA Women’s Softshell Jacket (Ski Snowboarding Jacket with Removable Hood, Fleece Lined and Water Repellent) proved both too warm and too tight. First, this LDA jacket will serve my purpose. I can wear it with or without my puffer and can probably add a polar fleece vest as well. Because of my arm length, adjustable cuffs are a must, and the quality of the jacket in this regard is exceptional (photo included). The Velcro strip is long and strong, yet easily adjusted. Another plus is the adjustable hood. No matter how tight I try to cinch down the hood on the Columbia, the slightest breeze takes it right off my head. LDA's hood cinches down well, without obscuring one's vision. Fit across the hips is snug, even with the adjustable cord at its loosest setting. One photo shows the difference in hip width between the Columbia and this jacket. The biggest negative is that there is no defined shoulder. This caused the LDA jacket, with no puffer underneath, to shift backward on my shoulders, even more so when partially or fully unzipped. I found this bothersome enough that I may opt for the Columbia on single-layer days. I would drop from an XL to an L, but I suspect the jacket would then be too snug in the hips. Side Note: The Columbia jacket has a two-way zipper, which would help were *it* tight in the hips. The LDA jacket would also benefit from a large pouch on the inside, just somewhere to protect a letter or other large item from rain. In summary, LDA obviously cares about producing a high-quality product but could broaden its appeal by considering women of various sizes. If you're going to build in an adjustable bottom hem, why not make that hem wide enough to be adjusted?

Amazing hiking jacket - Waterproof!
I'm in love. You got a new diehard Little Donkey fan. Waterproof - We were swimming at a waterfall in GA when it started pouring rain and we had to quickly hike back before our stuff got soaked. I was drenched and freezing! The moment I put this jacket on, I felt warm and shielded from the rain. It didn't stick to me- it was breathing. It kept me dry the rest of the day. Weight - I was skeptical that this jacket was actually lightweight. It looks too bulky to be lightweight. Sure enough, I picked it up and it was light as a feather. Shocked. It also rolls up and packs up nice and neat into the hood so I can store it in the brain of my pack. Style/fit - I'm a mighty 5' 3" and 120lbs lady and normally I wear a small but I love baggy clothes especially jackets. I ordered a medium and I would say it was the perfect amount of baggy. I could probably wear a chunky sweater underneath and still feel like I can move around. Now, this jacket is stylish. I love that you can put the hood away. Even with the hood out you still get that collared look. The cut is beautiful. Even though I wear it baggy, it creates a pleasing silhouette that accentuates the curves of a woman's body. Very cool. MY ONLY COMPLAINT is I was REALLY sad that I ordered the mosaic blue because it looks kind of teal in the picture. My favorite color. But IRL it's just navy. Overall I am extremely pleased with this jacket. It's so comfortable, no picky or scratchy spots.

I LOVE it!
Delivered on time. Well packaged. Can I just say, I LOVE this little jacket!! I bought the Rose color, it’s a little brighter than expected but still pretty. I bought xl (normally a large) bc I wanted it roomy for sweaters etc. lots of room around the shoulders, sleeves plenty long, and just covers the butt. Large would have worked also. And…. It’s slimming! Very cute Little Donkey Andy. 😊

Runs small; velcro pulls hair
Overall this is a good jacket but I may return it. For one, it runs a little small if you have big hips, a liiittle too short, and the purple is way more vibrant in person, unlike the eggplant color shown. But the main reason I would return as opposed to exchanging for a larger size is because of all the velcro closures. They should ALL be designed with snap closures and that’s a huge oversight from either not testing these out in the field or being designed by a man. My hair, whether down or ponytail or braided, gets caught and torn up by the velcro at the neck closures and all around the convertible hood. The design of the jacket is supposed to allow the hood to be rolled up and hidden inside the collar, which is incredibly impractical to transition out in nature and also ends up weird looking. IMO if you’re planning to be out in the rain you need the option to have the hood, so just have it accessible. No one wants a puffy collar where a hood is “hidden”. Also, the collar that the hood is supposed to roll up into has Velcro all around the inside and the collar never stays in place, so the Velcro is always revealed for my hair to get tangled in. Just commit to a hooded jacket or not. Or have the hood be completely removable with snap closures. The same goes for the Velcro at the wrists, anytime you tuck your hair behind your ears or are handling something that might get caught or grazed. The only reason I haven’t returned this jacket is because I needed it asap and got it pretty dirty from working on a boat doing turtle research and I don’t want someone else to receive the same jacket by mistake. So I may just remove all the Velcro myself and glue on snap attachments. But I’m leaving this review either way because this design needs updating!

Nice so far
Just received. Was concerned by reviews that indicated you needed to size up considerably 1 or even 2 sizes. Normally at the cusp of xl/xxl, ordered xxl and fit was plenty roomy to be able to wear a sweatshirt/sweater under it. Material seems nice. Important to acknowledge it hasn't had the all-important rain test yet, which is ultimately the make or break for a rain jacket, so the 5-stars is with an important caveat. Will try to remember to update a should it fail that test as that would obviously cause rating to drop.

Amazing jacket
If I could give this jacket more than 5-stars, I would. Amazing value. I cannot believe it. Not thin but has the right amount of thickness and yes, it is waterproof. I've been traveling to some pretty wet areas and it's kept me warm and dry. I bought a 2X so that I could layer and it's perfect. Went to Alaska, PNW, Ireland, and Scotland without any issues. One thing that I want to add though, is that if you are on the taller side, this jacket may hit short for you. I am 5'2" and it falls right at my hip.

Super
Der beste Sommerkauf 2021 Die Jacke ist leicht, man kann sie sehr gut zusammen falten. Sie hält den Regen gut ab.

Small sizing, otherwise awesome
I really like this jacket, but when I ordered my normal size, it needs to be 1 size larger. Otherwise, I am please with the material and quality. You can see in the picture how well water beads off of it, but I haven't yet cleaned it.

Belle veste imperméable
Testée en conditions randonnée, protège bien de la pluie et du vent. Légère a porter. Couleur gris fidèle à l’image. Taille normal.
