I have two of these fountains now. With two, I can simply switch them out when the water gets low and it’s time to clean, which is easy peasy. When it’s time, I set up the new fountain and then put the old one in the dishwasher. I clean the pump by hand. Once the pump and the fountain are clean and dry, I just put it all together and put it up on the shelf until it’s time to switch them out again, usually 5-7 days later. This has saved me 30 - 60 minutes of cleaning every week. This fountain is whisper quiet, attractive, and most importantly, my cat love it and drinks regularly from it. The pumps last as long as promised. I’ve replaced the pumps twice in two years (once for each fountain). It’s the best fountain I’ve ever bought. I love the blue light on the pump—I can see the water level easily and the water looks clean. Pet loves. I love. Easy easy easy.

My cat loves it!We switched from plastic Catit fountain.Although I love Catit products and my cat does too, I found that the fountain was prone to slime and algae buildup. It was hard to clean out every little gap and the seams in the plans I did not help.This fountain is stainless steel and made very simply yet very well. There are no seams for bacteria and algae to buildup on and every part is easy to clean, including the pump. What’s even better is that all the main components are dishwasher safe! It does have very good capacity so I don’t have to refill it as often. In addition, there is a switch for the light. So you can turn the light off if you like. I can go on and on about all the pros of this fountain.Worth the price!
