It worked fine initially, but as my baby started growing, feeding became difficult because he would play, move around, and shake a lot while drinking milk. It was becoming challenging to feed him properly with a spoon bottle.At that point, I decided to buy a nipple bottle. However, many people warned me that if I introduced a regular feeding bottle, my baby might stop taking breast milk. The reason is that many bottles allow milk to flow easily even without proper sucking. Babies then get used to receiving milk effortlessly and may lose interest in breastfeeding because breastfeeding requires proper latching.Many mothers think their baby is crying because they are not getting enough milk, but one thing I learned is that proper latching actually helps mothers produce more milk. If the baby doesn’t latch correctly, milk production can also be affected. So I wanted a bottle that would work as closely as possible to natural breastfeeding.I spent a lot of time researching how different feeding bottles work. Even ChatGPT recommended looking at bottles designed to mimic natural breastfeeding.While going through the product details, I came across the Natural Response bottle. What caught my attention was that milk is released only when the baby actively sucks and latches, just like breastfeeding. That was exactly what I was looking for.Then I had another concern.Even if a baby has to latch, if the bottle releases milk too quickly, the baby may still prefer bottle feeding over breastfeeding. If bottle milk comes too fast, babies may feel that breast milk isn’t coming fast enough and may become frustrated during breastfeeding.I noticed that Philips offers different nipple flow rates from Flow 1 to Flow 5, designed for different age groups from newborns up to one year and beyond.Since my baby was only 21 days old, I wanted to buy the Flow 1 nipple for newborns, but it was unavailable. My only option was the 0m+ version with Flow 2.Honestly, I was worried that Flow 2 might be too fast. But after using it, I found that the flow is still very slow and controlled. It feels very natural, and I was genuinely satisfied with how it worked. The feeding experience remained close to breastfeeding, which was exactly what I wanted.The product quality is excellent as well. Philips has once again lived up to its reputation. Their products rarely disappoint, and this one delivered exactly what I expected.Another thing I liked is that the bottle can be sterilized. Many parents worry about bacteria forming on feeding bottles, but this product can be safely boiled and sterilized at the recommended temperatures, which gives peace of mind.Later, I had another question. What if my baby eventually needs a faster milk flow? Would I need to buy a completely new bottle?After checking further, I found that Philips sells nipples separately with different flow rates. So when the baby grows, I can simply purchase a nipple with a higher flow and continue using the same bottle. That makes the product very flexible and cost-effective because the same bottle can easily be used for several months.One important thing I want to mention is that breast milk is still the most important and healthiest option for a baby. The reason I am sharing all this information is because I have heard many stories where hospitals introduce feeding bottles with nipples that release milk very easily, even without proper latching. Later, some babies become less interested in breastfeeding, which can create nutritional and growth-related concerns.If supplementary feeding is needed after birth, I personally feel it is better to use spoon feeding temporarily and then choose a bottle like this that supports natural sucking and latching rather than a bottle that allows milk to flow freely.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this product.
