Quality and speed Tri-Band router!
Excellent router. Highly recommend! Easy to use. Easy to set up. Great security features! 2G, 5G, and 6G. It does run a couple of degrees warmer than the older dual mode routers, but if you don't put it in an enclosed area such as above a drop ceiling with no side openings for a little ventilation, you will never have to worry. Ours is above the drop ceiling in a wall corner in the middle of our home and it stays the same temp as the rest of the house because it does have an opening on the other side of the wall (storage area) for some ventilation.

Great router, works well so far
This is a nice router and pretty easy to setup. I replaced my Spectrum router because devices kept falling off Wi-Fi, and this one has worked really well so far. A little tricky to setup at first because my network with Spectrum router was 192.168.1.1. But after I logged on I was able to change from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.1.1 pretty easy. So far all 75 devices came online and have been working perfectly. Well worth the upgrade.

Lacking in 2.4ghz Capability
Nice router, great connection.\nSpeeds are good if you have 5g or 6g. It does not do well to connect 2.4 g, many times the network is not responding. When things are on 2.4ghz. advertisement says it's backwards compatible down, but it is lacking in this capability.

Completely Changed My Home Wi-Fi
This router changed the Wi-Fi performance in my whole house. Absolutely worth it. My house is older, and getting a strong, reliable signal throughout the place has been a pain. I had been fighting weak connections, inconsistent speeds, and the usual frustration that comes with trying to make modern internet work through an older structure. After setting up this TP-Link WiFi 7 router, the difference was immediate. Speeds are much better, the connection is more stable, and coverage across the house is noticeably improved. Devices connect cleanly, streaming and downloads are smoother, and the whole network feels faster and more reliable. It is one of those upgrades where you can tell right away that it was money well spent. Setup was straightforward, and the features are solid without making the router feel overly complicated. The 10G and 2.5G ports are also nice to have for future-proofing and wired devices. If you are tired of fighting bad Wi-Fi, especially in an older home, this is a serious upgrade. It changed the way my whole house connects, and I would buy it again without hesitation.

Web interface needs work
Generally good router. Good speed, good range. My biggest complaint is the user interface served through a web browser. The top half of the window is taken up with large, airy graphical icons, and the bottom third is taken up with an advertisement for Tether that will no go away. What a waste of work space! I am in there to do work, not gaze at pretty icons.

TP Link WiFi router thought it would be great but it has been very disappointing.
So far the worst wireless router I have purchased and installed. Something with this router does not like my PS5 and the test speeds are horrible. This router also has something against my work laptop VPN and my work laptop speeds even right next to the the wireless router are horrible. I have tried port forwarding, changing the MTU size settings, and setting static IP addresses. Very disappointed for the price. I went as far as looking up every port critical to functionality and opening each of them up. This is a security risk waiting to happen and it should not be like this. Now when on wifi with my phone I can get great speeds down load and upload, and then switch to other devices while nothing else is using the bandwidth and my speeds drop from MBPS to KBPS there is something wrong and this had been from the out of box settings and set up all the way through all the changes just to try to make it work. Direct internet speeds without going through this are between 400-500mbps Down load and upload. So why the extreme drop going through this wifi router? Yes I also made sure all firmware has been updated. Coverage and every thing else works fine except for those 2 devices. Do not know what to do next. Updated 02/18/2026 My wife (a desktop support specialist) tried calling and chatting with TP several times and their advice was less than helpful. Never buying this brand again. Buying a new one different brand. we'll see how that goes and that will be a real test...

Seamless
I disconnected my old Linksys 3200mx and plugged everything in directly to the new router. I downloaded the app and within 5 minutes even was setup. It took another 15b minutes setting 3 fire tvs and 2 computers and a phone to the new router. I was a linksys ride or die. I had 2 very high end routers take a dump on me. I seen how high this was rated and took the plunge. Its looking great so far. The App is way easier to navigate and setup was a breeze. If this router doesn't work I'll be sure to update this. In the mean time I'll update on differences I notice.

Good quality, little issue with having third party.
It is good quality, and wifi 6 can reach as far as 25 meters inside concrete building. drawbacks for me, i have to control it through a third party, and multiple of subscription options. It realy did not feel private at all.

Great wifi7 router at a great price - note US plug
Good signal with optional IoT network, well made, good value. Easy to use. Integrates with TPlink app which works well. Highly recommended for WiFi 7 on a budget. Note comes with US plug, so needs a UK plug separately
