I have been using these for several months at the gym. They work extremely well. On occasion they will pop out and bounce off of something and roll under the machine, however it has never been a problem for me to retrieve the pin(s). Some folks might consider the quality of materials to be a bit on the "light" side, however I find that the lightness of these pins enhances their functionality. Only rarely do they not function as they are supposed to, however they have never done anything that put me at risk for being harmed (but please be careful how you use any weight lifting devices). I used to have my own version of these made of a bolt and a spring and a washer that I had soldered together. Trust me, this one works much better LOL! So far, so good. These can really make your drop set hurt big time in a good way. They do exactly what I wanted. Nits: these become projectiles and chipped the paint on what they drop onto. Chipped my Rep rack. Fixed by putting something to protect the rack, but I wish I knew in advance. They are mostly cheap plastic. Time will tell how long they last. I want to buy more so I can use two stacks on a functional trainer but I will wait to see if they make it a couple of months.
