Durable, waterproof, great traction in water
These are great boots! They had great traction in a rocky stream and were waterproof after stepping in the stream a few times. I got wide and they were good for my wide forefoot. They are kind of stiff as hiking boots often are but I've only had them for a week. I took them on a 4 hour hike in Turkey Run state park with a lot of terrain and they stayed comfortable and held up well. I removed the insole and put in my orthotics. I highly recommend!

Value for money
Really pleased with the quality of these hiking boots! They fit really well and are extremely comfortable right out of the gate. My arch and ankle feels really supported. I’ll be hiking in them in a couple weeks and can’t wait to see how they wear! Walking around my house though they feel great. True to size.

Solid Hiking Boot (for this non-extreme hiker)
Last minute purchase before visiting the Black Hills, Badlands, and Glacier National Park. Very glad I got these. They held up, kept my feet dry, and allowed me to feel confident in each step. True to size – I am typically either and women’s 8.5 or 9, and the 9 was great with hiking socks.

Cute, durable, comfy; 6.5W and 7R are basically the same size
Like everyone said, these shoes are super comfortable right out of the box. I bought them and wore them two days later to hike Yosemite. They needed no break-in period and I had absolutely no blisters or even discomfort the whole time. We hiked about 10 miles; they were waterproof and gripped all the terrain (gravel, dirt, wet staircases, rocks, etc.) beautifully. At the end of the day, they still looked brand new! They’re durable, easy to lace up and adjust, and versatile in almost all hiking terrain. I had some confusion with sizing though. I wear a 6.5, medium to wide width. After reading that many people sized up to account for thick socks, I ordered 6.5 regular, 6.5 wide, 7 regular, 7 wide. I found the 6.5 regular to fit perfectly with thinner socks. 6.5 wide was too wide (even with thick socks) and 7 wide too big in length and width. I was quite surprised to find that 7 regular and 6.5 wide were almost the same length (6.5 was actually just a smidge longer!) and exactly the same width externally (I measured, see pictures), though the 6.5 wide seemed to look a little wider on. So for anyone who wears a 6.5 or 7, you can probably get away with purchasing a 6.5 wide or 7 regular if you find a color or price point is better between the two. I preferred the brown color with the contrasting red laces, so kept that and returned the black. Hope this review helps someone!

Nice boots at an affordable price.
I have worn these boots almost daily on my dog walks on gravel roads, in the woods, on snow and ice for almost a year. They were very comfortable from the start. They are supposed to be waterproof but they started leaking after about 2 months. I am not talking about walking in puddles and creeks - water started seeping in after just 10-15 minutes on wet grass . However, for this price, I did not expect much and otherwise I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of these boots. The first things to require replacement were the inner shoe soles and the shoe laces, but that's and easy fix. Also, the shoe laces were a weed seed "magnet", a terrific way to spread noxious weeds - it took some effort to remove the seeds after each walk. The shoe soles are still in very good shape and have a good traction on most surfaces. Unsurprisingly, they are slippery on snow and ice. I used to be loyal to Lowa hiking boots but over the years the quality suffered and after my third pair of Lowa Renegades which fell apart in the seams after just one year, I decided to give these Columbia hiking boots a try. Despite some of the shortcomings, I do love how well these boots fit and for this price you cannot go wrong.

Impressive in every way
I am compelled to give a shout out to Columbia because these shoes are truly comfortable and appear very durable. And they’re really cute! My friend and I will be visiting Red Rocks in August for a concert. The venue is outdoors, where the rock has been cut away to provide a beautifully natural rocky outdoor concert hall that steps up for seating, steps down toward the stage. Concert goers should wear shoes with excellent traction to prevent slipping. I was worried about buying a pair of hiking boots without trying them on first because the traction might be an issue and ALSO my feet are in between sizes 7-1/2 and 8. After having lived in them for over a week now, I am pleased to report: These are perfect in all ways. No stiffness, great traction, they seem very durable…and they’re nice looking. I desired a high top that would provide stability, yet I was worried it would limit comfort. That’s not a problem at all, they are comfortable in all respects. Also, I’m finding comfort no matter whether wearing super thin or thick socks, tho I prefer a little thickness. While the shoes require some time to slip on and cinch, the result is support for both my feet and ankles.

Lovedddd
So comfy and light, def worth the money! The grip of the shoes was really good as well. I took them to sentinel dome and vernal falls in Yosemite and my feet were perfectly fine didn’t hurt or anything. I’m really clumsy and lowkey have a fear of falling and I actually felt secure in these shoes. Sizing is true to size! Also I dipped my foot in a stream to see if it was water proof and they were no water came in or even stayed on top of the shoes

Columbia does not disappoint
I have been absolutely in love with my Columbia winter boots for 6 years, and they've easily held up as long. I finally realized I should try some of their hiking boots for my daily walks. Columbia seems made for my difficult feet (somewhat wider toe area but not wide feet, and needing sturdy arch support) and they literally give me energy and propulsion. Further, my terrible back can give me some mobility and stability issues. Walking a well trained but exuberant and exceptionally strong (150 lbs and literally built for heavy hauling), young male Newfoundland dog, I consider all of my Columbia footwear to be excellent and necessary safety equipment. I bought 3 different pair of Columbias to try but I love this pair so much, the other mid height pair is still in its box. The low hikers are not my preference but I expected that, by mere virtue of being low, and they're still a great fit and seriously sturdy.

Vor allem vom Fußbett her.

Practically a steal
These boots are fantastic. They’re waterproof, which is great because I have a magnetic attraction to puddles. They handle the mud like a pro, and honestly, for this price, I feel like I committed a minor robbery. Comfortable, sturdy, and cheaper than a therapist! And they make my big feet look tiny

Started out brilliantly.......
Never bought this brand before so wasn't sure what to expect, but they were comfortable from day 1. The size was perfect and they weren't too heavy or clumpy once on. Totally waterproof and feel very sturdy. Very pleased with them. Plus got them in the sale so they were a bargain. *I have now had these 18 months and the waterproof-ness seems to have failed. The soles are hardly worn but the suede is very scuffed which is to be expected given I'm a professional dog walker and I've worn these a lot. Still recommend them but definitely wouldn't pay full price.
