We would like to add a fountain kit. Not sure of what size pump, etc we need?** A: The size I bought probably would not be enough. I had only a 5-gallon bucket of water and a 5' rise; it trickled very slowly which is what I needed for my hydroponic tower. Every pump has specifications about how high they will pump and at how many gph. I don't think it matters how much water you have, but how far and how high you need the water to go and how fast you want the water to come out of your fountain. **Q: Has anyone purchased or made more extensions for this pump? (not tubing, but solid extensions.)** A: Not that we know of. **Q: Hi. Would you consider this pump to be quiet?** A: I purchased the 211 GPH pump and I use it in an outdoor water display. I have not noticed any excessive noise and yes I would consider it quiet. As an indoor pump it could be bothersome. **Q: What is the diameter of the extensions and what is the length of each?** A: Not sure.
