Review: Will keep buying - I’ll be honest—I wasn’t expecting to have strong feelings about a dishwasher detergent. But Dirty Labs Dishwasher Detergent and Booster surprised me in the best way. It actually works. Like, really works. Greasy plates, baked-on food, cloudy glasses—everything comes out clean without needing to pre-rinse. Even my glassware looks noticeably clearer, and there’s no weird film or residue left behind. What I appreciate most is that it manages to be effective without being harsh. A lot of “clean” or eco-friendly detergents either don’t clean well or leave dishes looking dull. This one somehow avoids both problems. The ingredients feel thoughtful, and it’s nice knowing I’m not washing my dishes with a bunch of aggressive chemicals. The scent is light and fresh, not overpowering, and it doesn’t linger on the dishes—which I love. The powder dissolves easily, and the booster is great for those extra messy loads when the dishwasher needs a little help. Even the packaging feels intentional and simple, which is a small thing but still nice. It doesn’t look out of place sitting on the counter. Overall, this is one of those products you don’t realize you’ve been missing until you use it. Dirty Labs Dishwasher Detergent and Booster does exactly what it promises, and it does it well. I’ll definitely be sticking with it. Review: Effective, Low-Waste Dishwasher Powder (and One Scoop Is Plenty!) - We’ve been using Dirty Labs dishwasher powder for our everyday loads — mostly dishes, glasses, silverware, and plastic containers (we don’t run pots and pans through the dishwasher) — and it’s been working very well. One of the first things I noticed is how little you actually need. A small scoop goes a long way, which makes the jar last longer than I expected. It feels a bit different from pods or gels — more like you’re dialing in the amount based on the load — but that’s been easy to adjust to. Cleaning performance has been solid. Dishes come out clean, no noticeable residue, and no strong chemical smell. Plastics and glassware look good. The packaging is also a plus. No plastic, and it comes with a small wooden scoop. It’s a nice touch, though after a couple of purchases you may find yourself with more scoops than you need. (We’re starting to accumulate a small collection.) Part of the appeal here is that it seems like a more environmentally thoughtful option — less plastic, concentrated powder, and biodegradable. Overall, this has been a positive switch for us.

No smell. Works best with soft water
No real smell came out of dishwasher when used. Left residue on porcelian plates and glasses when used with hard water. Did not see streaking but felt rough/textured after wash. Container was sturdy. No slippage or leakage of soap. Spoon was held within the container above soap which was a nice touch so you dont have to get your fingers soapy. The container made this soap feel fancy. Easy to use and increase soap amount adjustments how you would ike.

Scent-Free and Spotless Clean, Though a Bit Pricey
I love that this detergent is completely scent-free, leaving no chemical smells on my dishes. It cleans exceptionally well, removing all food particles and leaving absolutely no residue or water spots—everything comes out sparkling. It feels very safe and effective. The only downside is that it is on the expensive side per load compared to standard brands. However, for the clean ingredients and high performance, I think it's worth the extra cost.

Health conscious, effective, priced well.
This is an excellent product and is very effective at removing food residue and getting plates and pans to shine. As a biochemist, this is the cleanest dish detergent I was able to find on the market. I still rinse dishes out of the dishwasher once or twice before using just to ensure all residue is removed, but I would trust this with not rinsing long before any soap or dish soap used in handwashing. I had severe gut issues that started up a year or so ago and although I don’t think they were caused by my detergent at the time (standard store brand), they have started healing while using this, I can eat so so many more foods now — which is a good sign (easier to help break something than to fix it / play a role in reversing it). The product lasts for forever, I only had to get a refill recently [8-10 months after the first] which was a shock to me. The scoop that is included makes dosing a breeze, I only use 1 scoop per full dishwasher load. It dissolves within the first several minutes of turning the dishwasher on, I’ve never seen any undissolved material in the dishwasher and sometimes I’ll open it quite early in the cycle. There is no smell. Elderly / those with low hand dexterity may have trouble initially opening the container to get the little tin insert holding the scoop out, it is in there relatively tight — a butter knife wedged in between the insert and the container to help pry the insert out could help in this situation. I would highly (and have highly) recommended this product to people.
