AWT Simplified Aluminum 160A MIG Welder,6 in 1 Gas MIG/Gasless Flux Core MIG/Stick/Lift TIG/Aluminum MIG Welding Machine, 110/220V Dual Voltage,Multi-Process Welding Machine

The welder's fit and finish are decent, but the packaging was poor. The stick welder lead's insulation broke to pieces in the box. The clamp looks awful as well with the tiny pin holding the halves together backing out. Now, damage aside, the welder looks fine, the fit and finish are excellent, dials are smooth and it turns on. At some point when I've tested it, I'll update the review, should be pretty soon. I really do hope to be impressed enough to increase rating despite the damaged clamp.

I did not used it yet. Looks well build. The manual does not describe the welder as a aluminum welder as stated on amazon. It just state mig 160. I believe that the advertise get more info on the product. I need this welder to rebuild my caravan. Aluminum frames I wanted to construct because wood rot is a big problem. Hope this welder make me proud.

Poorly manufactured plastic MIG connector strips and no longer secure after 2 months. Contacted company twice. No customer service, no response. Connector is non standard cannot repair or replace connector. Strongly advise against this unit and this manufacturer.

This is not a welder for aluminum. There is things you have to buy to convert it over. I wish I never would have purchased this thing. The gas leaks on the inside of the welder and you have to take most of it apart to even see where it's leaking. This is the worst welder I have ever bought! DO NOT BUY THIS WELDER!

Grabbed this because it states that it can do aluminum out of the box. While this is true, it isn't exactly straightforward. I loaded it with 0.035" ER5356, so relatively stiff, wire and had to remove the tension spring on the spool holder to get it to feed "smoothly". However, once you do get the wire feeding it has enough power even on 120v to run a decent bead on aluminum. MIG on Steel - runs 0.030" ER70S-6 easily on 120V. Comes with a full set of rollers for flux core and MIG so no need to buy extra parts. Comes with a stick whip that is better than expected for the price point - I haven't run any stick on the machine since I wanted something to setup for aluminum MIG. However, I have no question about it's ability to burn common rods better than most hobby welders abilities (including mine). Now the reasons it's an "entry level" and 4 stars The liner isn't going to be easily replaced - for a hobby welder that probably doesn't make much of a difference since most homeowners will likely never wear it out. However, it is a cost savings area and will be a pain if you catch your whip on something and put a kink in the liner. Gas connection - Barbed hose for gas is simply a pain in the backside. Yes, you can work around it but swapping gasses between welders just sucks. I'll likely swap it out to the standard threaded fitting for gas so I can share my argon with my TIG machine easily.
