I'm so pleased that I took a chance with this brand. The matcha shortage has been crazyyyy and I was ready for more complexity and depth while wanting to move away from safe/beginner-friendly matchas as they started to taste diluted and dare I say- basic? Just basic and green? The market is super saturated with so many choices, it's overwhelming and expensive. I wanted to find one that was readily available, quick shipping, authentic, earthy, not too bitter, smooth, nutty. affordable to a point ; I don't want to spend 60 for a canister but if I were to be disappointed time after time, Id conclude that the taste i was searching for would only be guaranteed at that price point and accept it, gladly. (Thank you for proving me wrong, Dona!) Dona Ceremonial Grade Matcha checks all the boxes! I am so grateful for this quality matcha and I just know this one is one I will always come back to. It blends beautifully and there is a nutty, roasted smell as well as taste to it. I wanted to gatekeep this but I know someone is in the same boat I was in and Dona deserves recognition for providing us with an exceptional matcha that I've been looking forward to every morning and afternoon. I'm so happy. My golden ratio with Dona is 3 grams matcha/ 30 ML hot water (no more than 175° F) 2 tsp brown sugar 1 tsp maple syrup and 100 ML oat milk (oatly Basic is my fav right now) I wish I could "up" some ingredients to have more volume of it to drink .. but I'm not gonna mess with perfection.

I loved this matcha! The powder is very fine and a vibrant green color, a true sign of its quality. It has an authentic flavor—slightly sweet and without the strong bitterness typical of regular green tea. It can be used in recipes, smoothies, or simply enjoyed on its own—it always adds that special touch and gives you a boost of energy for the day. It offers great value for money, and I highly recommend it!

Vibrant Green & smells Nutty. Whisks well & gives decent micro-foam, the texture is smooth & tastes a little nutty. Love that it is not bitter or grainy at all! Makes a delicious Matcha latte or drink it Usucha! Worth the price, easy to make!

Whether it's a slow morning or an afternoon reset, this matcha has become a new part of my daily ritual. It Iced with oat milk, homemade brown sugar syrup and sweet cold foam, served cold and frothy - it's the perfect mindful moment in a cup. This is the first matcha I have actually enjoyed. OK, I do enjoy the Matcha from Starbucks, but that’s like a whole different experience. Every time that I have bought Matcha from the grocery store or something it’s bitter. This Matcha is so smooth and so delicious it has no bitter taste at all. You can tell this is quality Matcha. I love that it comes with a little map that tells you exactly where it comes from. The only thing that I don’t like about this is that it is very expensive and you get a pretty tiny amount. But a little powder goes A LONG WAY! I do understand why it pricey, it’s because it literally is that good ! So if you have the money invest in good Matcha, it is definitely worth it.
