MHW-3BOMBER Espresso Tamper 51mm T5999-OS Review: Excellent quality and build....except... - Very high quality and build. Functional and a nice hefty feel. The only minor issue is the bottom plate will occasionally unscrew itself. It's reverse thread to prevent this from happening, but it still does once in a while. Not a deal breaker. Excellent product. Woukd buy again. Review: Will buy again. - It functions perfectly. The 51mm compacting head fits nicely into the 51mm porta - there is no significant grind bypassing the head during press, the sliding flange improves alignment so the grind is compacted evenly in the porta and the spring load seems consistent - I can't detect softening of the spring. Build quality and finish are excellent - no sharp edges, the coating/anodizing has no wear after 2-mths daily use. I will buy this again if needed, it's definitely improved my espresso consistency.

Solid Tamper
Best bang for buck spring loaded tamper. Highly recommend. Every tamp is level. Perfect fit for bottomless portafilters. Note: it does not fit properly within the factory Delonghi portafilter. The max level indicator ridges stick out too far.
