I am not a robot, this item is garbage
I got the exact opposite of what the description says. Says there's not heating wire and There is full heating coverage, it's just 1 big heating wire. It says you can set an exact temperature, but it only gives you 6 power levels. Absolute garbage. Do not order, this it is a scam.

Worked great for starting my garden in the spring.
I ordered this seedling heating mat to use starting my seeds for my garden. I plugged it in and put it under one of my seed starting trays. I had several seed starting trays going at the same time. Every group of seeds I started had the same conditions other than the heating mat. The seedlings I started on the mat consistently sprouted earlier than the other trays of seedlings. This mat was smaller than the seed starting tray but the warmth seemed to spread enough to help the seedlings sprout. I ended up with mire viable seedling using than mat than did without it.

Happy with this product
Pros: Fast and reliable germination: The heat mats worked wonders for my seeds! I saw sprouts within a week or even less, which was impressive. It really gave my seeds the right conditions to thrive. Precise temperature control: The digital thermostat provides accurate and consistent temperature readings, which is crucial for seed germination. I love that I can adjust the temperature to my exact needs, and the display keeps me updated in real-time. Great for specific plant needs: I used these mats for more temperature-sensitive plants like papaya, dragonfruit cuttings, and peppers, and they worked perfectly. I got root growth in just five days for the cuttings, and my germination rates were higher than ever. Durable and high-quality materials: The mats are made from sturdy, wear-resistant materials. The heat-insulating PVC and PET layers make it durable and long-lasting, which is especially important for regular use throughout the planting season. Energy-efficient: With its high electric heat conversion efficiency (99%), the mats heat up quickly and maintain the right temperature while being energy efficient. Versatile use: Beyond seed germination, the mats can be used for a variety of other purposes like hydroponics or even heating enclosures for pets, making them a versatile addition to any setup. Waterproof for easy cleaning: The IP67 waterproof rating makes it easy to clean, and I don’t have to worry about water damage during use. Cons: A bit more expensive than basic mats: While these mats provide much better temperature control and results, they are slightly more expensive than basic ambient temperature mats. However, the value they provide is definitely worth the price for serious gardeners. Size may not be enough for large setups: If you’re looking to germinate a lot of plants at once, the 10"x 20.75" size may not be sufficient for larger setups, although they worked perfectly for my needs. Temperature fluctuations: Although the mats are generally very precise, some minor fluctuations in temperature (within a few tenths of a degree) can occur, but this wasn’t an issue for me and still kept everything within the optimal range.

Several flaws in design
Please see the video for more details This heat mat has several design flaws that make it bad for use in my greenhouse. 1) No thermometer/probe. Not sure what it is measuring the temperature of as there is no thermometer or probe stick in the soil or whatever your medium is. At best it could be measuring the temperature of the heat mat itself, but that doesn't tell me the temperature of what I'm trying to keep heated (in this case my soil). This would mean I'd have to guess at what temperature the heat mat needs to be to keep my soil a certain temperature and not the heat mat increasing and decreasing temp based off the temp of my soil (and no just because I set the heat to one temp, doesn't mean the medium will get to that temp). 2) Temperature consistently changing and never steady state. When in Fahrenheit, the temperature reading is constantly fluctating and not by just tenths of a degree, but by 3-5 degrees. So I have no clue what the actual temperature of the mat is even at as it can go up and down constantly. 3) The thermostat is upside down. The thermostat assumes your outlet is above what you are measuring, but in a green house where I have shelves or on table or whatsoever, the thermostat will be upside down and the plug is too short for you to maneuver so that it can be upright 4) no way to hang the thermostat so you can see the temperature. It's a poorly designed mat and I can't even tell if it heats well because I don't know what temp its actually at.

Works great for germinating seeds.
Review of the Hon&Guan 10"x 20.75" Seedling Heat Mat with Digital Thermostat Combo Set As an avid indoor gardener, I recently purchased the Hon&Guan Seedling Heat Mat Combo Set, and it has truly transformed my germination process. With the winter months upon us and the need for optimal temperatures for seed-starting, this heat mat has proved to be an essential addition to my gardening toolkit. Efficient and Uniform Heat: One of the standout features is the innovative metal heating film technology. Unlike traditional heating wires, this technology ensures an even and stable heat distribution across the mat. The fact that it maintains a temperature range of 68-86°F (20-30°C) creates the perfect environment for seed germination. I noticed a significant boost in my germination rates, which I attribute to the consistent warmth provided by this mat. Additionally, with a 99% electric heat conversion efficiency, it is both energy-efficient and reliable. Durable Material: The construction of the mat is impressive. It is made from high-quality, heat-insulating PVC and features a PET insulation layer that is both wear-resistant and sturdy. I appreciate the multiple layers of protection that ensure longevity and durability, especially when using it regularly throughout the planting season. The IP67 rated waterproof surface is another fantastic aspect; it makes cleaning simple and ensures safety during use. Precise Temperature Monitoring: Accuracy is critical in seed germination, and this product excels in that area. With a built-in NTC sensor, the heat mat provides precise temperature readings directly from the heating element. The added feature of built-in overheating protection gives me peace of mind, automatically shutting off the mat if temperatures rise too high. This level of monitoring introduces an element of professionalism into my indoor gardening efforts. Simple Heating Setup: The thermostat is user-friendly, featuring a 4-button interface that allows for easy adjustments. The ability to set a timer between 0 to 24 hours and select different power levels (from 4W to 40W) provides tremendous flexibility for various heating needs. I particularly enjoy that I can choose between Fahrenheit and Celsius readings, catering to my preferences as well as anyone else who might use it. Multifunctionality: Beyond simple seed germination, this heat mat is versatile enough for a range of uses. From hydroponics to brewing, and even heating enclosures for pets, it suits an array of needs in one convenient package. It’s a fantastic investment for anyone involved in gardening or other heat-dependent hobbies. Conclusion: The Hon&Guan 10"x 20.75" Seedling Heat Mat with Digital Thermostat has quickly become a must-have item in my gardening routine. It is efficient, durable, and incredibly effective at providing the right conditions for seed germination. This product is perfect for anyone wanting to start seeds in the colder months, and I highly recommend it to fellow gardening enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Overall, it’s a well-engineered, reliable tool that I expect will serve many planting seasons to come.

Heats up quickly, easy to use - but has cool spots, especially around the edges
Pretty thick mat, and relatively big/heavy control unit. Decent length cord. Heats up really fast. I like that the heat only emits from the top of the mat, so you don’t have to worry about hurting the surface underneath when heated. Initially set to Celsius, but you can easily convert it to Fahrenheit, and the controller will remember even after you turn it off. Controls are intuitive and simple. My main issues with this heating mat are: It doesn’t have even heating across the mat (there are definitely “cool spots”). And there is a wide border around the edges of the mat that don’t heat up - so you actually heat up a much smaller area. Based on those big performance issues, I would say that this mat is not a good value for use in seed germination.

No thermometer for the soil
There's no thermometer to insert into the soil to monitor the soil temperature and turn the mat on and off. Instructions say to 8nsert temperature probe. There's no receptacles to attach a temperature probe.
