Works even better than expected!

I bought this Lexar 1TB Professional Go SSD to use with my iPhone 17 Pro for open gate RAW and 4K ProRes recording after my old SSD oddly was not supported. This one works perfectly. It is very fast, transfers files without any issues, and feels reliable for professional video use. The only small downside for me is that when I use it with the Apple case on my phone, the USB-C connection can come loose more easily. Other than that, I am very happy with this drive.

I’ve been using the Lexar 2TB Professional Go Portable SSD primarily for recording Apple 4K 60fps ProRes, and it has been rock solid. The speeds are exactly what you’d expect. The drive is compact, well-built, and feels professional in hand. File transfers to my computer are quick, which saves a lot of time when offloading large video files. If you’re working with video, especially ProRes, or just want a fast and dependable portable SSD, this is an excellent choice. Reliable performance and great build quality. Highly recommended.

I was using this drive (2tb) regularly with my iphone and my mac and it's been great - super fast and very reliable - great to use for shooting ProRes footage from an iPhone...UNTIL...it just stopped working and showing up on my system recently. It did that thing that some SSD's do where it stops showing up and if you try to diagnose it, it tells you it's trying to draw too much power...which usually means it's had a 'hardware short circuit' and the controller chip has failed. Now, mine is less than a year old (8 months to be exact) and so I'm going to contact Lexar and see if they'll make good or not. I hope they'll respond because it's been a real trooper for the last 8 months and it's one of my favorite drives to use. Stay tuned... UPDATE: So, I'm happy to say that Lexar came thru with flying colors. After I contacted them, they got back to me very quickly (and also politely I might add) and apologized for the inconvenience. After a few small questions, they asked me to send them back the drive so they could send me a fresh replacement...and I'm so pleased they are, because honestly, it's one of my favorite drives and I know that the nature of electronics is that sometimes they error out. But, the fact that they were so fast and so great about replacing it for me gives me great confidence in buying a lot more Lexar products in the future..which I will. Thanks again, and I really can't recommend them highly enough. They take care of their customers. Thanks Lexar.
