Can I plate A drinking cup of brass inside

Yes, this kit can plate onto brass. Gold will mirror the surface underneath. For best results I would polish the brass first to the desired luster. Then apply nickel to the brass surface. After applying the nickel you will apply the gold. Feel free to contact our customer service if needed.

how big of an item can i plate with this? I am looking to plate championship belts and all the parts to them

That is a great question. Since this is a brush plating kit it will allow you to plate onto a huge range of sizes. We have plated items over 6 feet tall. What you will want to get familiar with will be the correct process for doing large items. We have a great technical team that can help guide you through the process so that you can be successful in your plating. We also have several videos demonstrations that I would recommend watching to get familiar with the process.

What is the difference between this kit and the chrome edition kit?

This machine is designed to plate Gold, Nickel, Silver, Rhodium & Rose gold onto surfaces that do not require you to remove chrome before plating. This kit works great on copper, brass, nickel, silver, & stainless steel to name a few of the most common metals. Keep in mind that different metals may require different solutions or pre-treatments for proper adhesion. This machine will not allow you to plate onto chrome or alluninum.

The Universal Chrome Edition This machine is designed to strip off chrome surfaces so that you can plate onto the nickel surface underneath. It will also do everything the standard Universal can do. The two machines look very similar but in fact are wired very differently. They also have different power supplies. The solutions received are slightly different in each of the kits as well.

Hi will this plate SS? Also what colors does it bring in the kit ?

Yes, this kit will plate onto stainless steel. However, you will need to get wood's nickel strike solution to use in place of the surface activator. The kit only comes with 24K Gold but if you'd rather have 18K or 14K you can leave a message in the comments at checkout. We do sell other solutions such as Rhodium, Nickel, & Rose Gold on Amazon too as a separate purchase.
